When I gave you my heart,
I was afraid you'd break it...
so I took the fall instead.
And here we are now,
laying in pieces,
waiting to be picked up again.

You know what I said, love
when we were standing in the church.
You saw how I loved you, darling
and how much it hurt.
We were standing in our graves,
sinking into the soil.
The cemetery ate us alive, precious
and only one of us got spit back out.

She hurt me. She tore through my heart until she was whole. And she didn't even know.
She ripped me to shreds. I remember her peeling me apart. She made me feel dead.
She dragged me down with her,
until I was drowning instead.
