Chapter One (This is jewel when she was 5) **Jewel's pov**
"Hehe mama and papa will never find me here" I whispered as I hid in the closet giggling to my self. I cracked it open so I could see a little bit better. I soon heard foot steps and then my mom. "Hmmm now where could that daughter of mine gone..." She said as I giggled some more.
Shhh we've got to stay quite or else they'll hear us.

I apologize at my wolf and got in the basket to get a better hiding place. Then I heard footsteps coming towards the closet so I shut the basket and put clothes I top of me as I went further down into the basket. "Hmmm Juju if you come out now I'll give u 5 chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk what do you say" I heard my dad say as he tried to bribe me.
'You won't get me to come out that easily'
I thought as I giggled at my amazingly fantastical hiding place. I heard the closet does clothes and foot steps walk away. I peaked up from my basket and got out then someone grabbed me and brought me out of the closet. "Gotcha there girly" my dad said as he started to tickle me.
"Haha dad stop haha I surrender I do I do I promise hahaha" I said as he set me down so I could catch my breath. Then my mom came out from around the corner holding cookies and milk. "Oh honey I see you've found our little hider" She said as she kissed him on the cheek"
"Ewwwww mommy kisses daddy" I said fake gagging. I was about to eat my cookie when a small yawn escaped my mouth. "Alright my little soldier time for bed" he said picking me up. "Awwww but dad....I haven't eaten a cookie yet" I said frowning.
"Alright you can eat it on the way up stairs" he said with a small smile. "Yay!!!" I said as I happily munched on my cookie. By the time we got upstairs I was already beginning to fall asleep. "Alrighty now sweetheart" he said as he put me in my bed and began to tuck me in.
"You have sweet dreams alright" he said kissing my forehead. I smiled slightly and yawned again. "Good night princess" "Goodnight daddy" I said as he made his way over to the night light and cut it on. He smiled one last time, turned off the light, and closed the door.
Soon I drifted off to sleep but was waken up by a loud banging noise. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes. I heard some muffled voices and then some foot steps I quickly got up, made my bed, and grabbed my safe bag. I looked at my mirror and touched it.
It recognized my hand print and it opened. See when I was born my dad installed a safe room inside my bedroom just in case something happened id be protected and at that moment I'm pretty sure it was a good as time as ever.
I stepped inside and it closed behind me and just in time to because just a few second after I heard my room door bust down. "Where is that little brat!" I heard a man say. "She's long gone and you'll never find- ahhh!" I heard my dad scream as a bullet went off.
I then looked to my left and saw it wasn't only it a safe room but it also was like a security room. I looked around till I saw the switch that turned on these little tv's. They turned on and they started showing my house. I then looked at the one that was in my room.
There I saw my mom and my dad on the ground hands tied and on their knees.my dad was laying down, when I looked closer I realized that my dad was shot in his let. " Ill ask one. more. time. Where is the girl" " She's gone damnit she's probably at the pack house by now you'll never catch up to her" My dad said as he spit in their face.
Just then I heard a powerful roar. "Shit the alpha we have to go he's coming" I heard the other man say as he and his friend pointed guns at my mom and dad and I watched in horror. "We love you baby girl" was the last thing I heard them say before they where shot. I just stood there looking at the camera in shock.
Hoping this was all just a bad dream and that my mom and dad will come wake me up any moment."Come on boss we have to go we'll just get the girl next time" I heard them say as they ran out of my room and out the backdoor of my house. My mirror opened and I ran to my mom and dad. "M-mommy, daddy....please wake up....please don't leave me." I begged and I cried out but got no answer.
"Please I promise I'll be good I promise I'll behave more just please wake up...please...I don't want to be alone....."
As I begged and pleaded my cry's and whimpers got louder. Until I started sobbing on their dead bodies. Just then I heard running up the stairs but I didn't care at that point all I wanted was my mom and dad. "Why...why moon goddess why did you have to take them away from me...I don't want to be alone...it's scary..."
I said as I looked up to the ceiling. I brought my head back down and cried into my moms chest. "Hello is anybody- oh my moon goddess what happened in here!" I looked up and saw the beta - Blake I ran up to him and cried. He picked me up and brought me down stairs.
"Shhhh it's gonna be ok" He cooed as I rubbed my back. "Alright now tell me what happened" I picked my head up from his shoulder and opened my mouth. "Some guys came into my house and killed my mommy and daddy t-they where looking for me....p-please don't let those mean men com get me please please!"
I said starting to cry again into his shoulder. "Hey hey it's ok I won't let him come after u I won't let anyone hurt u from now on ok I promise." He said stroking my hair. He sat me down on the couch and looked at me in the eyes. "This might hurt a little ok." He said as he tilted my neck to the side.
At first I was confused but then I felt him bite my neck and I whimpered out in pain. A few minutes later I felt him lick the spot where he marked me at and then he lifted his head up and whiled his mouth. "I'm sorry but in order to make sure your safe I had to mark you. This mark is a protectors mark. So now when ever your in trouble I can come rescue you."

He said with a smile. I saw him go up stairs and heard him grabbing some stuff. He came back down with my bags and my stuffed animal. He then put me on his back and told me to hold on tight. After that I looked at the sky, and started to fall asleep. ------------------------------------- Hey guys hope u all enjoyed my first chapter. I'll start working chapter two right away.
