Chapter 17: Necessary Sacrifices

Kaiser's POV:

I never thought I would end up coming back to this cave. Even so, I hope I find him.

I entered the cave. It was just as I remembered. There was the small cabin. As expected, he came out as I payed my respects.

Blank: Kaiser! It's so good to see you!

Kaiser: Hey there!

This is Blank. He is apparently a prodigy who became one of the major game developers. The thing is, he is still a kid.

Blank: Please! Come inside!

We both entered the small cabin. As expected from a game dev, it warped your character to a special map. His house.

It was a large mansion, surrounded by trees in perfect blossom. It was a place in which he could bend every law of reality and the game itself. It was a world of his own.

We both sat down in two comfortable chairs which he made appear out of thin air.

Blank: So, what brings you back to this place?

Kaiser: I seek for your help.

Blank: I am sorry Kaiser. But I have been tasked to do something else...

Kaiser: Don't tell me...

*Blank waves his finger*

We were transported to a dark room. In the middle of it, was a huge boss. It was mainly a blue light, but it was covered in golden armor. Just like the frozen king.

Blank: Say hello to the new world boss.

Kaiser: What?!? Don't you think that the frozen king is enough?!?

Blank: Look. I was tasked on creating a boss that would be able to stop Rake's guild. With this boss, their floating city will go down.

Crap! I can sense it's aura from here! I must stop it.

Kaiser: Dragon King's Solar Flare!

*BAAAAAAAAAAAAM*

Blank: Useless... Infinite Volley!

A current of energy orbs floated towards my direction.

Kaiser: Brown dragon emperor's Shield!

*BAAAAM* *BAAAAM* *BAAAAM*

A spiky earth shield covered me and shattered the energy orbs.

Blank: Command - Out

A portal appeared and took me back to NLO.

*A message has been received*

Kaiser: Accept

Message: Kaiser, if you harm anything related to the monster invasion or warn Rake's guild about my world boss, You will be cast out of NLO.

Crap! How will rake even manage with this boss? I can't stay with my arms crossed...

Rake's POV:

We have hovered to the icy mountains and are watching it from above. It looks like the 13 gods have already begun taking care of the invasion. We need to help them without getting discovered.

Rake: We need to get rid of the moon dog! I can't believe I'm saying this...

Whisper: Aurora, the moon dog is only capable of using nullifying magic with his staff. Destroy it or take it away from him.
