his eyes wandered into

the limitless,blue hued sky

his chirpy soul,

dancing to the rhythm

of the heavenly wind and waves.

his heart told him he could

climb the highest peaks

and catch hold of the clouds.

his soul within,singing

the harmonies of the song of life.

but as his fate would allow

his wings had been clipped, forever.

the only dance that his body could ever do

were the blinking of his oceanic eyes.

he would still never,

lose his hope of living,

for his love, his heartbeat

would jump, sing and dance

as his body, spirit and soul.

she would walk for him

take him to the wonderous places

those places, which existed

only in his dream world.

from the tallest of mountains,

to the densest of forests,

he'd go everywhere with her

as his magic vehicle.

though caged, this clipped bird

loved his free eagle's heart

didn't realise she wouldn't be

standing next to him forever

for she was free, and freedom ruled her

and she could never let it go.

an ill fated day came

when his eagle flew away

taking along with her,

his spirit, his heart

and his unfazed will to fight death.

she flew away, he collapsed

doctors then came barging in

through those white, hideous gates

for he'd decided, in that cage

his life now has to end

his soul says.

denial of death, tore him apart

his eyes kept fluttering

yet the doctors left him, unperturbed

left him alone, a living corpse

did not let him break free

of his motionless body.

he struggled to die

to leave his petrified body

and run away to the place

where his broken heart

would eventually find solace.

death sympathised with his struggle

came and stood beside him

a tunnel of white halo opened

in front of those oceanic eyes.

he could now run again

dance to his heart's rhythm

and jump so high he could

now sit on those silver clouds.

his lifeless body stared

at him, then at the i.v tube

where bubbles of air were present

instead of the fluid containing life

one bubble, tunneled into his blood

this relieving him of this dungeoned life

and allowed his soul to fly

he made his home in the velvet sky.
