"Hey Lily i don't think were gunna find anything." Says a tired Jen.

We've been walking for what seems like forever when its only been just over half an hour.

"Just alittle further Jen im sure something will turn up" i demand.

"When?" She replies.

"After we get onto a busy road." I say pointing to the intersection up the street.

"I hope your right. Im actually so hungry." Says Jen sarcastically. I roll my eyes and keep walking, staring as the cars speed by ahead.

I look at my phone which reads 1:03pm and a message from John comes up and my hand tenses. I open his message and respond to him.

"You ok?" Jen says looking in my direction.

"Never better." I force a smile to my lips and turn my head, still walking.

We reach the intersection and watch as the sign goes from red to white, indicating we can cross.

I step onto the street and am able to see the array of stores and eateries that take up the entire right half of the area. We keep walking, one place catches my attention.

"Yogurties." I whisper. A building with pink walls and glass that reveals everything going on inside.

"So Lil, any place catch your attention?" Jen asks as we step off the street and into the crowd of people waiting to cross the street.

"Lets go to Yogurties." I say, feeling my phone vibrate from another message from John, but ignore it, intrigued by the look of this building and its individuality from all the others.

"A frozen yogurt place? For lunch?" Jen says and points to a building past the dessert place.

"Lets just go to the McDonalds, we can always go to Yogurties after, besides its the only place i've ever heard of out of everything else here." She says with a somewhat confused smile as my phone vibrates again. I pick it up, two messages fom John. I hurry to respond, stopping for afew seconds.

Jen keeps walking and i finally finish my text. I run and catch up to her, passing Yogurties and into the food joint.

---------------------------------------------

"Ok fine Lil now we can go to Yogurties!" Jen says proudly picking u her food tray full of wrappers and scraps from our lunch.

"Good." I say grabbing my tray and following Jen to the garbage. I dump everything out of my tray and into the garbage bins.

"Ready?" Jen asks.

"Yep." I say putting my empty tray on the top of the pile of others in front of the garbage. We exit the food joint and start walking towards Yogurties.

"Remember that story I told you about my mom on christmas?" Jen asks.

"Yes! How could I forget?" I say laughing. So far today has been great. I met a new friend, someone new just like me and even got to know her.

"Didn't you think it was hilarious?" Jen laughs.

"Yes!" I laugh along.

Last christmas, Jens mom invited the entire family over to her house back in Daytona where shes from. Well obviously everything went arise because everyone knows Jens cousins couldn't stand her sister. There was a huge food fight and her mom snapped and sent everyone home besides her. Doesn't sound very funny but the way Jen talks about things make them much more fun and exciting than they really are.

I feel my phone vibrate again. John.

"Hey Jen can we just stop for a sec? I really have to answer this text." I say pulling out my phone.

"Yea sure." Jen says taking a seat in the bench in front of the store beside Yogurties. I turn on my phone which reads 2:14pm and open the conversation.

I put my phone back in my pocket and look around- reassuring myself that times have changed and I'm safe here- alone. With no one to hold me back.

"You ready Lil?" Jen says closing her purse and standing up.

"Yep." I say. We walk past the other buildings and to door of Yogurties.

Jen opens the door and we both step in. I look around- bright pink walls, booths with white leather benches, bring red chairs and a giant check out counter. There must be at least ten people in her.

I turn my head and look straight at the booth in the far left corner of the store and I see him. He gets up from the booth and walks to the checkout counter just a few metres ahead of me.

Tall, dark black hair, brown eyes. Black and grey button up shirt, tight black jeans- converse.

"Perfect." I mutter to myself staring at him like he was my long lost father and am questioning his very existence.

"Lily?" Jen says.

"Yea what?" I say snapping out my daze.

"Nothing." She winks at me. I turn around and step forward right into him almost knocking me over. He catches me.

"Oh my gosh im so sorry!" I say getting off him. I take one glance at his eyes and stop talking. His eyes meet mine.

For a moment we just stay there, me staring into his mysterious eyes and he staring back. I wish i could stay here forever, i say in my mind.

"Hi." I say shyly.

"Hi." He says in his deep voice, he laughs. And so do I. And I know that he is the guy I have been waiting for all my life- my one true match.
