Will a man who never gets tired of actually giving thanks to the blessings of the Lord and hoping that He would one day give him the kind of woman who will join him in fellowship, wake up to the reality that the plans prepared for him envisions him to suffer the wraths of life alone?

"Are you ready?" tanong sa akin nung in-charge na MC at ngumiti lang ako bilang sagot. Naghiyawan naman yung mga taong nandoon na nanonood. "Okay, mukhang handang handa na nga sya. Please welcome on stage, ang isa sa mga taong malapit sa celebrants natin, Casper! Let's give him a big round of applause!"

Inayos ko naman yung strap ng gitara pati na yung microphone holder. Sumenyas na rin ako sa DJ na syang mas malapit sa amplifier nung gitara.

"Good evening everyone," bati ko saka nagsimulang mag-strum. "We all know that this night is very exceptional, especially to the lovebirds here in front." Nagtawanan naman yung mga tao. Tumingin naman ako sa mag-asawa. "So, I would like to take this opportunity to greet you guys happy 30th wedding anniversary. Your journey in the walk of life has inspired many, including me. So tonight, let me dedicate this song na alam kong susubukan nyong abutin nang magkasama. May you have more blessed married years to come, Tito Leo and Tita Mylene. This one's for you."

Napangiti ako nung tumayo sina Tito at Tita at nanguna sa pagsasayaw sa dance floor. Nag-thumbs up pa sa akin si Tito na lalong nagpangiti sa akin. I genuinely feel happy for them, but I feel sad for myself at the same time. But I guess, I'm getting used to this weird feeling.

Seeing couples being wed or celebrating their memories of thick and thins through the years makes me want to believe that humans are, after all, capable of falling in love and sticking to it 'til the end of their borrowed times. At the same time, it makes me wonder. Mali ba ng napuntahang address yung ibinigay ni Lord para sa akin? Baka kasi namali ng pinuntahan at naliligaw na sya ngayon.
