Levi watched as the brunette left before turning history  head to glare at the commander.

The commander had umber brown hair that was cut very shortly. His eyes were brown and dull, no care or concern present in them. Just power that had clearly gone to his head.

Levi guessed he was new. He looked very young and the way he presented himself was as if he had the world in his clutches, could do anything to Levi, who was defenceless. His leg was wounded so he couldn't kick, he had no weapons. The only thing he had to defend himself, were his hands and believe it once it was said; no one would want to get punched in the face by him.

The commander glared back for a minute or so before saying, "name."

But Levi remained silent, his face impossible to read.

"I don't think you heard me correctly. Give me your name." He demanded, however, this didn't intimidate Levi in any way, shape or form.

"Fine then. If that's how you want to play..." He said opening one of his draws to take out a gun. "When are you planning to attack?"

"What makes you think I'll tell you that, when I won't even tell you my name?" He said, his tone as void as his expression. He might've not cared whether or not he lived or died, but that was no excuse to sell out his comrades. He refused to be the reason that their lives ended.

He inwardly smirked as the commander clicked his tongue in annoyance. "You're really asking to get killed, aren't you?"

"Does it look like I care? Besides, you're not going to kill me. You need me and are you seriously willing to risk the lives of more soldiers to kidnap another soldier from my side when you've got me right here? I must say, your technique on gaining information is flawed massively." He said. He was really asking to get shot in the head.

However, the commander put his gun down. "Fine. Smith!" He called. A soldier entered the room immediately, saluting.

"Yes sir."

"Get Jaeger for me." He commanded.

"Yes sir." He answered, walking away. What was going on? Why did he need Eren? Why didn't he shoot him? Did Levi's point reason with him? He looked back at the commander, trying to search for answers. He only got none.

It wasn't long until Eren walked in, staying at the frame of the door, saluting to the commander.

"You wanted me, sir?" He asked, attempting to keep his expression neutral, but his eyes failed him. He looked fatigued, emotionally tired, full of grief and despair.

Levi turned to meet Eren's gaze, the look in his eyes tugging at his heart strings.

Eren caught Levi's gaze before quickly looking back at the commander.

"You'll be in charge of this soldier from now on. Tell him how things work around here. If he does anything, you'll be who we blame."

Eren nodded, Levi's eyebrows furrowing slightly. That was hardly fair. If he was the one to fuck up, Eren was the one to be punished? But...that was life, he guessed.

Picking up some papers, he casually added, "He'll be sharing your dorm, in replacement of Arlet." He carelessly said, as if it wasn't something important.

Eren's hands clenched up into a fist. How dare he address his only true friend that way, the one person who kept him going for this long. Tensing up slightly, he suppressed his anger, nodding.

"Yes sir."

He walked towards the raventette, helping him up, gently swinging his arm over his shoulder.

Just as he was about to walk out, he halted at the sound of his commander's voice.

"I don't care what it takes. Get it out of him."

"Yes sir." He replied, his voice low as he left the room.

The commander might've been vague, but it was enough for Eren to understand what he meant. He simply wanted him to get information out of the ravenette, which he clearly hadn't got. As he closed the door with his other hand, he walked to his dorm in silence, not feeling like saying a word. However, once they got there, the male in Eren's arms was the one to break the silence.

"What did he mean?" Levi asked, hoping Eren understood what he was talking about.

Eren simply put Levi down onto the other bed of the room, walking to his own. He didn't say anything. He didn't want to. He just took off his army jacket, folding it up and putting it under his bed before lying on his own, curling up into a ball of misery.

The room was small. It had two beds on either side, their frame metal and white, their duvet cover striped blue and white. The floor boards were made of old wood and would creak if one were to step on it. Against the wall, painted a drab Ivory colour, on the far end of room, stood a wardrobe which contained Eren's uniform, clothes etc.

Levi sighed as he saw Eren, his back the only thing visible to him. Hearing a deep breath being taken by the brunette, he watched as he sat up, his short sleeved, grey shirt revealing his tan arms which were neither muscular, nor were they weak and scrawny. Running a hand through his hair, Eren's oceanic green eyes locked with Levi's.

"That information is classified." He simply said before breaking his gaze. He couldn't betray his commander however, wondered what the point was, knowing that no matter what happened, both sides were going to lose one way or another. He wanted to sob, wanted to loosen up the right lump that formed in his throat.

Levi didn't say anything else. Instead, he curled up in his own ball, his back facing Eren, the two of them staring at the wall opposite them, lost in their own, miserable way.
