Laney and Lana
_____________________________
A gentle shaking slowly stirred me to my senses and I rolled over, blearily blinking my eyes to a grinning Laney, her brown hair curled on half of her head, the other side still wavy and untouched.

"You started getting ready without me?" I mumbled, pushing my body up and resting my elbows on my knees, trying to force the sleep out of my brain.

She chuckled and offered a small shrug, her brown eyes flickering with mischief.

"Brian never said that I was supposed to wake you up!" she grinned and bounced up, walking up the steps and leaving me to rid myself of the grogginess. My glare followed her tracks up the stairs, fully intending to set her on fire. I pushed my fingers through my hair and let out a groan, rising to my full height, trudging my way up the stairs and into Laney's bedroom.

Blaring music greeted me and I reeled back from the bass and ridiculous rock solos smashing against my eardrums. I glared at the giggling girls before me, hair halfway teased and eyes being coated with enhancing colors.

The music bashed against my brain and I scowled even deeper, if that was even possible.

"Lighten up LaLa. Have a drink!" A cup was shoved into my face and the sweet scent of a mixed drink wafted into my senses. I curled my lip and shied away from Marice's hand.

"Fuck off Mar. You know I don't drink that sugary shit." I growled and walked to the seat beside Laney's, throwing myself down and gazing in the vanity we were occupying. Her eyes met mine and she offered a small smile and shifted her glass over. The dark brown contents inside promised nothing but deliciousness and I snatched the cup, draining it quickly, relishing in the biting taste of my boyfriend Jack Daniels and his brother Coke.

My eyes darted to the clock on the wall that read about eight thirty. Perfect.

I set the cup down and my gaze slid to each of my girls, their gazes meeting mine hopefully. A coy smile slid it's way onto my lips and I grabbed an eyebrow pencil, shifting it between my fingers. I felt the tension in the room instantly vanish as they're shoulders relaxed with my signal of peace.

"Let's get ready to party shall we?"
