Snow

When my alarm goes off Monday morning at 5:15, I groan and crawl out of bed. I get dressed and then look out the window as I always do. Oh look, there is snow outside...... *yawn* WAIT SNOW?!!! YESSSSS NO SCHOOL!! I check the weather to see how much they say we are going to get. 26 cm!! We won't be in school for a while. I run downstairs and see Brady sitting on the floor playing with Periwinkle. "Do we have school today?!" I say as I walk up to him. "Nope" he says joyfully, " it got me out of my math test, so that's even better" he says grinning. Periwinkle walks over to me and starts rubbing against my leg. I pick her up and go sit down on the couch. "Lucky you,I had mine yesterday" "What did you get?" "96%" "WOW thats great!" he says as he grabs the remote and sits on the couch next to me. " What you wanna watch, Super Bowl?" Nah... oooo the Puppy Bowl!!" "coolio" As the tv turns on and the announcer starts talking I start thinking... It's been a few days since we got Periwinkle and we haven't got her a bed or toys or a food bowl or anything yet. There is that pet shop down the street.... maybe today, Brady and I can walk there and get stuff for her. "Hey, Brady, do you want to get stuff for Periwinkle today at that pet shop down the street?" " Yeah, how bout we go now and leave a note for mom and dad so they know where we are." " Kewl I'm going to get a blanket for Peri so she can come with us" "K" I run up the stairs and grab a fuzzy blue and white checkered blanket and also grab a small pillow. I run back down the stairs and then run down the stairs into the basement, where I know there is a basket here somewhere because when I was 6 and Brady was 7 on Halloween I dressed up as Red Riding Hood and he dressed up as the Big Bad Wolf. I look through some boxes and find a reddish brown wicker basket. I run back up stairs and put the pillow on bottom and then put Peri on the pillow and cover her with the blanket.
