Aiden ran his hand over his Identification card. The number on the top, 133711 contained all his memories, feelings, and emotions. The power of nanotechnology had risen to such a degree that death was no longer looming over a soldiers head. He could be blown to pieces by a fragmentation grenade and then be alive within time to write his field report. This twisted immortality never sat well with Aiden. Death was now nothing, but mental disabilities like PTSD and "Shell shock" were considered terminal illnesses. Most of the weak minded would go unhinged after so many years of dieing. Aiden refused to let that happen to him. He wouldn't fall that easily.

"Aiden Destin is it?" said a strong voice in front of him. Aiden looked up at the man who spoke. His name was Kengars, part of the Blue Lions infantry company. He stood at a tall 6/3. Kengars leaned forward his head hitting Aidens "Would you be willing to die for this Outfit knowing you would not return?" A chill ran up Aiden spine hearing his words "Sir, yes sir" he said with heavy determination. Kengars grinned a little at Aidens words. "I like that answer. Good, training starts in 24 hours. Bring only what you need" he ordered. Aiden nodded with a eager smile.

After they parted was Aiden drove home. He had a small studio apartment. His couch served as his bed and the room was terribly kept. He jumped up and down with ecstatic joy "Hell yes... Fuck yeah!" he cheered. He walked over to his fridge and grabbed a lagger popping the cap off using the table. He lifted it up and took a drink. "To the Lions!" he said. Within the next two hours he was fast asleep. He slept like a rock. The easy part was finally over the cliche but dreaded physical training was next
