Luna POV

"LOONY LOVEGOOD!" I heard someone yell. I get this everyday. The only reason they say this is because I have never had a girlfriend and I'm in year 4. What they don't think about is that maybe I don't want a girlfriend.

*flashback to year one*

I was walking down the train trying to find a spot to sit, maybe with a cute girl. I walked past one seat to see him. I heard THE Harry Potter was on the train. Though I defiantly did not expect him to be so handsome. He turned his head and my breath hitched in my throat. "Hey," said the sweet little 11 year old boy with adorably messy hair and bright green eyes, "why don't you come sit here with me?" he wanted me to sit with him? The amazing boy who grew up in the muggle world wanted me to sit with him! Then it hit me, he grew up in the muggle world, where being gay is weird being a 'hetro' is the norm, that would mean that he doesn't know that the majority of wizards are gay, that means that I have a chance. I was freaking out! Then I heard a different voice behind me say "Sure." and he sat down. Damn I missed my chance. I shrugged it of and found myself sitting with a girl named Hermione who's hair was messy but not in a cute way like Harrys, and who's eyes were brown, the complete opposite from Harrys green ones.

*End flashback*

People kept giving me dirty looks, I shrugged them off to find Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny. We are the best of friends. There's a Dance this year and we all know we won't get dates so we're going with each other, except Ginny because she's going with a girl from her year. So I'm going with Hermione and Harry and Ron are going together. I know for a fact that Hermione is Hetro and likes Ron because one night when I couldn't sleep she woke up crying and I helped her through it and she told me all her secrets, I don't think Ron or Harry like the plan either.

*Flash back, earlier that year*

"Hey guys," Ginny came skipping up to Harry, Ron, Hermione and I, " So this dance, since you four are not going to get dates (and I already have one) you should go with eachother, like Harry and Ron and Hermione and Luna. Sounds fun right? Right." When she said 'Harry and Ron' Harry had a look on his face like he knew something and Ron looked dissapointed. "Sounds awesome!" Hermione ruined everything.

*end flashback*

That's how we all wound up being missrable regarding the dance, other than Hermione of course, ugh, her excitement disgusts me.

The inspiration for this story comes from a dream, let me explaine more. My friend showed me a video on YouTube about a world where gay is the norm, look it up it's amazing (those who can't handle blood beware) and anways that night I had a dream and it was like the video but Harry Potter themed, does that make sense? Whatever.
