Chapter 17

"Yes." My dad said with happiness in his tone

"Oh sweetie you didn't have to ask us." My mom said joyfully.

"Thank you sir, ma'am" Ash said excitedly. "See you tomorrow at school Ciera." He waved goodbye and left.

"I like that kid" my dad said patting my shoulder

I smiled awkwardly and headed inside. My parents and I had dinner and they didn't really talk much about the whole dating thing so that saves me a lot of awkward converstations.

After dinner I went up to my room and just flopped on the bed. Looking at my constellation type ceiling just smiling like a lunatic.

I was thinking of everything that has happened to me since the first day of school. It makes me so happy to lookback on some wonderful memories I've already made in the short time I've been here.

A while later the dynamic duo, a.k.a Tigger and Pooh, hopped on the bed and looked at me expectantly. They looked like they were asking what made me so happy. And I told them everything I was thinking about. Because I'm a normal person. Who talks to animals. And that is normal.

I don't know if it was my happiness making me delusional or it's just that Tigger and Pooh were really smart but I think they understood every word I said.

I lied back on my bed and fell asleep as happy as I could ever be.

After a day of me and Ash being slightly less awkward, I waved goodbye and he said "See you tonight"

And then it hit me. Well "she" hit me. Ella playfully hit my shoulder and asked "What's happening later?"

Dani soon came and stood beside us and eyed me suspiciously.

"Well..." I trailed off

"Well what?" Dani asked expectantly

"Well I have a date later.......with Ash...." Just as soon as those words left my mouth, the two started screaming excitedly.

"Ciera has a date Ciera has a date!" They started chanting.

I felt my cheeks heating up as they continued teasing me.

"Oh please stop. You guys are embarrasing me."

"Oh look, how cute are you being all embarrased" "How adorable" they said while pinching my cheeks.

"H-hey! Guys stop haha I need to ask you guys something" They pinched my cheeks one last time and listened "Ok thank you. You know that hurt right? Anyways, I sorta need your help 'cause this is my first da-"

"Yes!" They cut me off and started dragging me home.

"Uh where are you guys taking me?"

"To your house"

"Yeah we need to get you ready as soon as possible"

And with that I was being dragged home with Tigger and Pooh trailing behind us.

Once we got to my house we went straight to my room but not before telling my parents that we had visitors.

In my room they started raiding my closet and throwing clothes all over my room.

"Oh sure guys yoy can mess up my room" I said sarcastically but they were to busy messing up my room to notice.

"Ciera I can't believe you don't have any make-up." Dani said

"Yeah the only sort of make-up thing you have is lip balm. Luckily we always bring a make-up bag." Ella continued

Ella grabbed my arm and put me on my swivel chair.

"Let's get you extra beautification from the masters" as soon as Ella said that, they started brushing stuff on my face.

Half way through my "beautification", Tigger and Pooh came into the room

"No no no no. Tigger, Pooh please stay outside. You'll get hair all over her." Dani said in a polite way

In response, the two whined.

"Let them stay, they won't get hair everywhere. I'll just ask them to sit underneath the dresser. Tigger, Pooh, over there please." I smiled at the two and they did as I said.

I tried peeking to see what they were doing then Dani said "No don't look yet until you put your outfit on"

I looked at Tigger and Pooh and mumbled "Lucky kitty and puppy. You get what to see what I look like before I do."

After they were done, I put on my outfit and was finally allowed to see myself.

"Now you can look" Dani said

I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror. Ok I don't really see myself as pretty I just feel like I'm average but looking at myself in the mirror now.... WOW.

I actually look beautiful. I could never imagine even thinking about me looking pretty let alone beautiful.

"WOW. Guys you are awesome!" I said as I lunged my self onto them and gave them a tight hug.

"We know" they giggled.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" I calmed down and just stared at myself in the mirror.

I turned to the dynamic duo. "So what do you think?" I received excited meows and woofs in response.

Then it hit me. (An actual thought this time hehe) I don't know what to expect on a date. What do I do? How should I act? How should i ~aaahh~

"Ciera" Dani called while shaking me. They must have noticed my expression change.

"Just be yourself" Dani said

"Don't worry and just go with the flow." Ella continued

"After all, yourself is what Ash fell for." They both said

I thought about it for a while and nodded in response. Why should I act like someone I'm not anyways?

"Ciera! There's someone here to see you!" Dad shouted

"That's my cue, wish me luck guys"

"Good luck!" They replied

I headed downstairs with Tigger and Pooh trailing behind me. When I got downstairs, the two ran in front of me and jumped on Ash's legs.

"Hello Tigger, Pooh." He said while petting them. He then turned his gaze on me. "Wow Ciera. You look beautiful"

"Thanks" i said sheepishly.

"Shall we go now?" He asked

"Sure" I waved goodbye to my parents and turned to Ash. "So where too?"

"You'll see" he said while opening the car door for me.

"Wait. You can drive?"

"Yeah haha you didn't know?"

"Um not really"

"Well now you do" he chuckled

I entered the car and asked "So where are we going again?"

"I already told you its a secret."

"Oh come on. Pleeeaaaseee."

"Sorry, you'll just have to wait and see" he chuckled once more
