Chapter 1
Just to Start the Day off
If you don't know me already my name is Anna Grace Walker. I am fifteen years old and well let's just say its not as glorious as it seems. Today is my first day of high school and it is already a nightmare. Today started just like any other regular school day, I woke up, got dressed and walked my dog. I then ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and headed for the door. I was right about to step out when my mother told me that she would drive me and what a wonderful idea that was, if you were a regular girl who didn't already have a reputation for being a geek and loser. It's not like you can just say no to your mother, so of course I said yes. My mom doesn't drive a normal car, she drives a bright pink punch buggy, with puppies all over the sides, and not to mention the car is beat up.
When we entered the premises of the school I could feel everyone staring at me and worst of all laughing, taunting, and teasing me. Why couldn't my family be normal? Out of my four siblings Suzzy Love Walker, Samuel Coal Walker, Arnold Jacob Walker, and my twin sister Ann Marie Walker only one of them is normal. My twin sister Ann Marie Walker. Not only is she normal she is popular. She looks exactly like me and is part of the same family but Ann Marie is treated so much differently by my family and the whole entire school. I hated it and wished I could be treated just like her for once, just once.
Chapter 2
School Has Just Begun
I didn't want to get out of the car, but I couldn't miss the first day of school so what else could I do but go against my own wishes. I covered my face and head with my sweater and ran out of the car, I ran like there was no tomorrow. I finally made it to the door when suddenly the bell rang. Ahhhhhhh! I can't be late on the first day of school, it's just my luck. Ann Marie was already in the classroom when I finally stumbled in. She was all perky and perfect, and all I could think about was just another year being compared to my sister.
When I got into my seat Ms. Shultz and everyone in the classroom was looking at me like I was nothing, except for one guy. I had never seen that guy before that day so I guessed he was an exchange student, especially because he looked at me like I was something. Something told me that the guy wasn't normal, but that didn't matter. I could only think about being accepted for once. Ms. Shultz was trying to ruin everyone's first day of school by giving us a partner project, and the project totally ruined my day. I got stuck with my sister and the new guy. "Well there goes my chance of being accepted" is all I could think about.
After first period language arts I had to go Mr. Fitz the science teacher. The classroom really creeped me out, I had no explanation why it just did. It sure seemed to get that new guy all looney-bin as well. Today was officially the weirdest day ever because we were dissecting cow eyeballs. Of course this day couldn't get any weirder, right. Well you thought wrong because out of nowhere I collapsed on the floor and had this vision of that new guy. The guy had ... he had ... THE POWER TO CONTROL OTHER PEOPLE'S MINDS!!!
When I awoke I was in the nurses office. I couldn't believe what I had just envisioned. "I was just dreaming, there is nothing to be afraid of," is all I could say to keep myself from having a total panic attack. What was happening, I had no clue. I couldn't tell my hand from my foot, or my clothes from my shoes. Riiinnnngggg!!!! Ouch, I was so started by the bell that I fell of the bed I was laying on and did a face plant into the floor.
Chapter 3
Finally, it's Lunch Time
When I got up off the floor I realized it was everyone's favorite part of school, LUNCH! So I decided to head over to the cafeteria. I got a tray off the counter top and went to see what the lunch ladies had made. There were salads, fried chicken, hamburgers, and lasagna. Unlike most girls my age I eat three times my body weight and burn calories five times as fast as a normal human, so I got one of each item on the menu.
So I got my meal check, now where to sit? Then I heard my name being called, "Anna Grace!" I turned around and saw him, the new guy Daniel. He was calling me to come sit with him, maybe my life is turning around. When I finally sat down I realized that the only other person sitting at the table was Daniel.
