A/N Cote and Comment! Any feed back is appreciated!!!!!!!!Classes had ended, and Flint took to the streets. He was determined to find Cinder, by any means necessary.
He knew exactly where to go. Before arriving in Vale, he had found information on a thief's hideout. This hideout may possibly have information on where Cinder was.
He found the factory within seconds of reaching the shoreline.
"E21" was printed in huge, black letters on the factory. Flint heard someone moving inside and decided to break the door down. He took a few steps back, then drew his staff. Clicking the same button as before, Flint's staff attached itself to his wrists. Charged spikes jutted out from the knuckles, and the red coloration mad it easy to spot in the orange sunlight. Flint launched his fist at the door, breaking it in seconds. The door fell down to reveal hundreds on top of hundreds of dust containers. White Fang soldiers looked at him, dropping their cargo and picking up their weapons.
"Get him!" They shouted.
----
Flint walked out of the factory warehouse, gently letting the large hangar door down. The bodies of 50 or more White Fang soldiers lay writhing in pain due to his semblance. No, he hadn't killed them. Just tortured them long enough to get information out of them.
"I'm coming, Cinder." Flint said to the sunset as he stared at the bright orange savior.
As he walked back towards Beacon, a memory hit him.
-Start-
Flint awoke underneath a humongous rock. Suddenly panicked, he looked to his left. Upon seeing the small, wooden carrier next to him, he calmed down.
His daughter was safe and sound, undisturbed by the great fall and the noise.
Despite his daughter being safe, he still didn't know where Cinder was. She had followed him despite his orders not to, and in the fall she had disppapeared.
Where was she? Was she lost in the rubble? And more importantly, was she harmed in any way? If she was, he'd have to kill the bastards wh-
"Stop thinking like that, Flint. This was your last mission. No more killing."
Flint's own thoughts surprised him, given the massive headache the fall had bestowed upon him. Suddenly, his daughter began crying. The baby, only two months old, has finally awoken. Wailing for attention, Emilia Lockryder would not stop crying.
Flint's right arm was bleeding badly, so he decided to not pick her up. Instead, he grabbed the handle attached to the top of the wooden box and lifted her, silencing her almost instantaneously.
"Shhh, Emilia. Daddy's here now..." Flint said soothingly as he looked around for a way to get out. Luckily, he had fallen into a cave that had an opening just a ways off to the left. He made the slow, yet painful, walk towards the mouth of the cave.
Emilia had finally stopped crying and fell asleep once again. Flint made the painstaking final few steps, then reached the mouth of the cave.
He so badly wanted to shout out, to call to Cinder. Where was she!? Was she harmed? Where could she have been after the fall?
He wanted to shout, but he couldn't. He didn't want to attract attention to himself and his daughter, especially when he was this wounded. He was limping, his left arm was bleeding badly, and a wound on his forehead leaked scarlet metallic blood.
-End-
Flint was suddenly awoken from the memory by the looming figure of Beacon Academy, aware of how tired he was.
There was still one thing he didn't understand. The White Fang soldiers from earlier had said a name. It was a name that struck fear into his heart:
Silver Chronos, the most powerful assassin to ever live.
