Chapter 9

Cody's pov

We heard the whistle blow as we start passing the ball to eachother, i start running to the other side of the field so they could pass the ball to me so we are closer to the goal making it easier to score. I saw someone tackling my team mate stealing the ball, i groaned running back, while running i start looking at the bleachers trying to find Hailee.

"Cody, watch out!" Someone shouted at me, i looked away and was met by a ball hitting me right in the face, i groaned falling on the ground. What the hell?

I heard the students in the bleacher shout and i looked up to them seeing hailee covering her mouth with her hand.

Some people helped me up, when i stood on my feet i saw someone smirking at me, This guy really i'm going to get you back.

I get passed the ball and watch the clock 5 minutes left and were losing, better get the best of it. I smirk.

Why hit it in the goal when we can get revenge? We're losing anyway. I don't even hesitate to kick the ball as hard as I could and it unexpectedly hit the coach right in the face.

The game was over and I'm now about to shit my pants.

"CHRISTIAN front an centre." The coach growled at me.

I'm so dead.

I walked over to the coach and i saw Hailee walking to that one guy, i clenched my teeth as i saw them hugging and laughing together, but the thing that made me the most angry was when he took her hand and she let him take it.

When i reached the coach he starts to shout at me and telling me that i should of did better and also he told me that i can't play the next game.

I kicked the closest ball away as i stormed of to take a shower.

Hailee's pov.

"Congrats." I smiled at bryan giving him a hug. "Thank you." He hugged back. "Looks like someone is watching." He said, i turned around to see Cody watching us but i rolled my eyes.

"Let him watch, he's an asshole." I sighed. He took my hand lacing our fingers together and i heard him sigh.

Cody's pov.

I step in the shower and thoughts swirl around my head.

'Is Hailee that mad at me? I didn't mean to anger her that much. Girls are so dramatic, but she's amazing. I also confessed my feelings for her, I thought girls liked that.' I thought to myself.

"Hey Cody, coach is calling for you."

"What for? To shout at me again? Tell him I'm going home, I'm not in the mood." I quickly wore my clothes and suddenly get stopped by the coach.

"Christian got a minute." I hesitate. "That wasn't a question, come now." I walk slowly over the coach and prepared myself to say another apology.

"I think you should take a break, you seem distracted and today just wasn't your best. It was like the game wasn't your first priority." The coach throughly explains.

My heart skipped a beat. "Your kicking me out of the team? Just because of one mistake?" My eyes widen as my worst fear becomes a reality.

"No, just till the year ends. You just need to distress and try to get your head in the game again."

"How can I get my head in the game if I'm bit actually in the game?!" I walk out as fast as I could and was stopped again by the guy Hailee was with. "Hey good game man." He laughs.

"You just can't stop can you? What else do you want from me? My house? My parents? You've already taken everything that I loved. What else can you take?" I cause a scene making everyone deprive there attention to me.

"What are you talking about man?" He questions like he has no idea.

I roll my eyes leaving the field.

"Cody!" Someone shouted, i turned around when i felt someone grabbing my wrist. I pulled away. "What!" I snapped, making her jump and frown.

"Why did you make such a big scene?" Hailee asked me. "It's none of your business okay." I replied.

"Oh okay, so you're not going to tell me just like you won't tell me what happened that one night?" She started to raise her voice. "Why do you even care actually." Ignoring her question.

"Just answer my question. It's not that hard to answer." I sighed.

"You really want to know don't you?" She nodded.

"Now answer these 2 questions, why did you make a big scene a few
Minutes ago and what did We do that one night." She Said with no emotion in her voice, making me a little bit scared. Because she is never like that, well i mean she never talked to me like that but you know what i mean.

"That guy is taking everything away that i like." I said, crossing my arms. "And with everything i mean you, i like you."

She sighed asking me to answer the other question.

"We hooked up that one night."
