This was written at the end of May, beginning of June 2009. I have tweaked it a little bit over the last 2 years. Again it is based on my life. Sorry if it is too graphic or violent. Thank you for reading.
Secret Pain
love hurts her more than they know,
she can no longer love or trust,
outside they can see her smiling,
but on the inside she is dying,
everyone she ever loved had left her,
she hides her pain
but when alone,
her legs bleed out like rain
the cuts,the scars, will eventually heal,
her heart breaks and becomes like steal,
she has loved,she has lost,
her heart has become the cost,
no more, thats enough, she lays down and cries,
the pain leaves her,she has cried herself to sleep,
the numbness never lasts,
for as soon as she wakes,
it will all return, no longer a distant dream,
but it will become her deathly reality,
her eyes wide,she falls to the floor,
the pain is back, she can take much more,
she starts her day like any other,
but along comes her unfriendly reminder,
she sits,she cries,
out comes the shiny new toy,
she cuts,she screams, allows herself to cry,
all alone now, broken and scared,
she slips into the darkness, peaceful and smiling,
at last her pain is gone, and with that she dies.
