niall
Niall sat across from Liam at the pizzeria while they waited for their pizza to arrive at the table. He had ordered them pizza earlier and now they were waiting. Liam was on his phone, but Niall was simply watching him.
"Why are you staring?" Liam asked cheekily. "If you want a picture to send to your friends, all you have to do is ask."
Niall tried his best not to blush as deeply as he knew he would. "I'm just looking. Looking isn't a crime, is it?"
"It depends," Liam's tone was still cheeky, and Niall still had a bright blush on his face.
"On?"
"What your intentions are." Liam's grin was too wide. "That's all that matters."
Niall tried to stutter out a response, but he was cut off with the pizza arriving at their table. It nearly filled the whole table top, and he immediately began to eat. Niall didn't want to look up at Liam and see what he could possibly be thinking.
"I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," Liam said suddenly. "I don't know what I was thinking."
"You didn't make me uncomfortable," Niall answered him softly. "I just keep trying to remind myself that we've only known each other for a few hours."
Liam just nodded and practically shoved a piece of the pizza in his mouth. "I understand. I probably need to remind myself that we've only known each other for a few hours. I just feel so comfortable with you."
Niall nodded too and nibbled on his pizza. He wasn't very hungry suddenly, and he knew it probably had something to do with his emotions. "What do you want to do later?"
"Do you want to go get some drinks later? I mean, you do drink, right?" Liam looked a bit afraid that maybe Niall wouldn't accept his offer, and the younger man almost laughed.
"I don't know why you would even doubt it," Niall said with a laugh. "I'm Irish, of course I drink. And we've got a bar at the course, so maybe we can just go there for a drink. I don't really want to go to a packed club tonight."
"I hate clubs," Liam said with a shiver. "Most of the time I end up with girls all over me and I hate it. I just go to drink and dance; rarely do I ever want to hook up with anyone."
Niall nodded again and continued to eat his pizza. "I've only ever been in a club once. I'm claustrophobic, so clubs aren't really my scene."
Liam looked thoughtful, as if he was trying to find a place to put that information away in his head. "Then we'll just go to the bar at the course. I wonder if they'd let me buy a bottle and just bring it back to my house with me." They both laughed a little bit and continued eating.
"Liquor stores exist," Niall said with a confused expression. "We could just go to one of those and buy a bottle if you please. We don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to."
"Why must you leave all the decisions to me?" Liam groaned. "I hate making decisions! I can hardly decide what shirt I want to wear in the morning, much less what I want to do later!"
"We'll just go buy some at a store and then go back to your house and hang out. I think I have a few more hours before I have to go face my father. Although, it will help that you want to make this your practice course." Niall bit on his thumb a bit and looked at the pizza, wondering if he really wanted to eat another piece.
"When does the tournament actually start? I need a planner or something. I don't ever remember anything." Liam shrugged and took another piece of pizza to eat for himself.
