From Dusk To Dawn

The Basketball Game

Dusk POV

I'd asked Dawn to come to a basketball ball game but I'd forgotten to tell her to meet up with me so she could get in for free.

Dawn walked in with her student ID and got in free anyway. She walked over to where I was sitting with the band area and watched her walk over. She was wearing a white flowing dress,she was wearing white flats her make up was done which made her look even more like an angel.

"Dawn I'm over here! " I waved her over.

"Hey Dusk." She says as she sits down by me.

"Dawn I wanna ask you something." I told her.

"Of course what is it? " Luminescence asked me smiling.

"Will you be my girlfriend? " I was so happy I'd asked.

"Wait really ? Are you sure ? I mean yes I want to be your girlfriend but why me ?"

Dawn POV

He asked me to be his girlfriend what do I say ?!?!? I thought to myself I liked him but still it's probably just because I'm an angel.

"You're the most amazing girl I've ever met, you're beautiful and you've seen through the tough guy I act I put on..." Dusk told me.

"Well of course I will. Just promise me we'll be together forever ok? " I told him because I was sick of people walking out on me.

"I promise and since I am a vampire I make that a blood promise." Dusk told me but I didn't know what a blood promise was.

"What's a blood promise ?" I ask him with a confused look.

"Well it's where we put a bit of each other's blood in tiny capsules or on a medallion that's special to us and it symbolizes the promise, it's why you always see vampires with there medallions with multiple blood marks." Dusk explains to me.

"How are we gonna make the promise ?" I asked him.

"I'll bite our ring fingers and we'll both put our blood on and it should fade into the necklace since it's a promise." Dusk explains to me and I must admit I'm in awe.

As Dusk bites his finger than mine we trace a heart on our medallions and he whispers 'I promise to always be yours' so I do the same.

I look to see the game only has a few more minutes left, six minutes to be exact.

"I hate to ask this but can I get a ride my parents hate me flying alone.." I ask Dusk shyly.

"Oh of course! You can meet my mom too!" Dusk tells me excitedly.

*tiny time skip*

The game ends and his mom is waiting outside, since I don't like flying and Dusk can't shapeshifter yet his mom either let's him walk places.

Dusk POV

My mom gave me a look like 'good job you're dating an angel!'

"So what's your name ? " My mom asks her.

"Dawn." She tell her.

All I can think is how perfect she is. Like wow she chose me ? She could've had anyone why me ?

We stop at her house, I let her out then hug
and kiss her. Then she runs into her house.

Dawn  POV

I get home and all the lights are out so I sneak into bed. I get down to my bedroom and my mom is there.

"Where were you?" She asks.

"Out. Night mom." I tell her annoyed as I change into pj's and lead her out the door after that.

"Good night Dawn. I love you honey." My mom says before I knock out.

The truth is I haven't seen my dad and my step dad is always elsewhere. My biological dad isn't exactly the easiest person to get to know. Since he's an angel he's always been more skeptic of the night seers.
