Jake Virtanen | Vancouver Canucks

It was a snowy evening on the streets of Vancouver, as my Bestfriend Jake and I take a stroll to find some hot chocolate after a successful win tonight.

"Jake, you did very good tonight!" I said as I slide my arm around his.

"Thanks Y/N, I'm glad you could come" he said as he looked down at me and smiled

We walked to the Tim Hortons not to far from his apartment and sat down and talked.

"Y/N, what do you see in your future?" He asked abruptly and caught me off guard.
" Well I want to finish my PhD and then probably move back home to Calgary to start my life" I say as I take a sip of my hot chocolate. He looks down, runs his hand through his hair and looks up at me.
"But I hope no matter what happens that we are still bestfriends, Jake" I say as I look into his eyes and smile. And ask how about him.
"Well I guess playing hockey for the rest of my life, starting a family in a few years and hopefully make the girl of my dreams my girlfriend soon." He says as he looks down and reaches for his Double Double.

We continue to talk about tonight's win  and just random things that come to mind, as we walk to a little park down the street from his apartment.

Something was up with Jake tonight and I couldn't put my finger on it.
We sit down on a bench and I move a little closer to Jake... I have to be completely honest with myself, I have liked him ever since the fifth grade when he shared his PB&J sandwich at snack time.

He looks at me, runs his hand through his hair, yet again! And he only does that when he is nervous.... I finally say it to him,
"Jake, what's wrong? You have been off all night long"
He just looks at me, turns his body and kisses me. And when we pull away he is blushing and stands up and says to me,
"Y/N, I have been inlove with you for God knows how long and I finally got you out here with me tonight to tell you how I feel. It has been bugging me for a long time. Y/N, please do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Jake says as he takes a hold of my hands and stares into my eyes. I grab the sides of his face and kiss him with all the passion in my body. We pull away and place our foreheads together and he says,
"I guess I'll take that as a yes. And babe, please don't move back to Calgary ."
