Darius's POV:
"What?" She asked me with widen eyes.
"When I was in ninth grade, I was best friends with your brother and for a few months I was good friends with Max too." I started and she widened her eyes, again. "Yeah I know, shocking. Moving on, we were good friends and I told him a lot of things, some secrets, my crushes, my name. This one day, I told him that I had a crush on this girl, and he freaked out because he also had a crush on the same girl. We stopped being friends and when he entered the football team, he got popular and thought he could do everything he wanted. He got the girl and he decided to meet me in the back of the school; at first I thought it was because he wanted to say sorry for being an asshole, but then he started to punch and to kick me and said that I would never be as good as him; but somehow I managed to be better than him." I finished and she looked at me.
"Are you saying that you were a victim of bullying and that Max was your bully?" She asked with sadness and I simply nodded my head.
"Yes. And I know it doesn't explain why I did it to Sebastian but it's a reason for me." I said and she nodded her head.
"That girl must have been pretty special, since she was the reason why you two stopped being friends." She said and I smiled.
"She was pretty special, but I don't think she was the reason why we stopped being friends. He was a jerk anyways. That girl was worth all of that." I said looking at her and she gave me a small smile.

Rigel's POV:*buzz buzz buzz buzz*
"Hey dad!" I said after accepting the call.
"Hey princess, where are you at this moment?" He asked me from the other line. I couldn't say what was happening by the tone of his voice.
"I'm with Darius right now, why?" I asked and he sighed.
"I need you to come home, now. Bring Darius with you, you're going to need him." He said and even though he couldn't see me I gave him a confused look.
"Okay, we're coming." I said and finished the call.
"Is everything okay?" Darius asked me.
"I don't know. My dad told me to go home now, and for some reason he wants you to come with me." I said and he nodded his head.
"Did he say anything else?" He asked.
"Nope." I said shaking my head.
"Let's go then." He said and he left the room and then the house.

"Hey dad, what did you want to talk to me?" I asked after entering the living room.
"Hey princess, we have to wait until your brother arrives." He answered and I nodded my head before sitting in the couch with Darius.
*10 minutes later*
"Hey dad! Is everything okay?" Nathan said entering the living room with Leah.
"Everything is fine." He said and they sat down on the couch next to us. "I called you here because I have to tell you two things: first of all, I asked Natalie to marry me, sec-"
"What?! Dad that's amazing! Congratulations!" I said and hugged him.
"Congratulations dad! I'm so happy for you!" Nathan said and hugged him back.
"Congratulations Harold!" Darius and Leah said. My dad pulled away and thanked both of them.
"Wait, you said you were going to tell us two things, that was the first one, what's the second one?" I asked and he sighed.
"Natalie and I are getting married, you already know that." He said and took another deep breath. "The other thing I have to tell you is about tomorrow. Your mother is going to that party, with her boyfriend."
"WHAT?" Nathan practically screamed.
"I'm not going." I simply said.
"What? Rigel you have to go, you said you would." Darius told me.
"Darius, I'm not going to some party if my mother is there, especially if she is there with her new boyfriend." I said.
"Even if your dad needs you to be there, to give him motivation to face your mother, after all this time?" He asked and I looked at my dad.
"You're right." I told Darius. "I'm sorry dad, I was being selfish. I'll go to your Formal Party." I told my dad.
"Why the hell is mom going to that Formal Party? I'm pretty sure you didn't invite her." Nathan asked him.
"My company organized this Formal Party, because they wanted to thank the company that helped us with our trip. That was your mother's company, so she has to be there." My dad answered Nathan.
"Guys, don't think about your mother now. Think about how happy your father is, because he's getting married again." Leah said and we all nodded our heads.
"When's the big wedding Harold?" Darius asked.
"We don't know yet, we just know that it's going to be in June." My dad answered.
"I can't wait!" I said.
••••••••••||••••••••••
Tonight was the Formal Party. Leah and I decided to meet up with Nathan and Darius at the party instead of driving with them. Fortunately when we got there I didn't see my mother, so the night was still perfect.
"Y- you look amazing!" Nathan said to Leah and I looked at Darius and he nodded his head, understanding what I meant.
"Do you want to dance?" Darius asked me.
"I'd love to." I said and he guided me to the dance floor, where we started slowing dancing together.
"You look amazing, by the way." He said after putting his hand around my waist.
"Thank you, so do you!" I said and put my right hand in his left shoulder and we started dancing.
After a few more minutes later, Nathan and Leah joined us to the dance floor. They looked really cute together, Leah's dress really matched Nathan's suit, more like his tie, because his suit was black, just like Darius's.
"Rigel, Nathan." Nathan and I turned around and saw our dad with Natalie.
"Your mother is here, I hope you'll talk to her." My dad said and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not going to make the first move with her." I said shaking my head.
"Yeah dad, neither am I." Nathan said and my dad sighed.
"Guys, you promised." He said.
"We promised we would come, we didn't promise we would talk to her." Nathan told him.
"If she wants to talk, I'll talk to her. But I'm not going to make the first move. If she wants to talk to me, she has to come to me." I told my dad and he widened his eyes.
"Here I am then."
