Arianna's POV
I looked in my rear-view mirror at Lacy. She was struggling to keep her eyes open as it was nearly ten at night and we had only just left Harry's flat from our wonderful celebration dinner.
Outside the car, it was pitch dark and dead silent. The normally swarming streets of north London were stood still, soundless, and peaceful. It was nights like those that made me love being a citizen of London, a big reason as to why I adored the city so dearly. I liked walking around the streets, catching glimpses from inside all the brightly lit shops and restaurants.
On the nights when I had Uni, I often enjoyed walking to my classes. Walking alone gave me the solitude I liked in order to drown myself in thought and just think about anything desirable.
It was only about two months ago that I was out walking alone through the city when I had come to the decision to get back at Trevor for cheating on me with that awful blonde bimbo. He was in no right to do such a horrible thing and nothing hurt more than the feeling of betrayal that he had left me alone to deal with. I had been faithful to Trevor the entire time we were together and never did he give me the slightest impression that he may have been seeing someone else when we were apart. He was going to school for a teaching degree and living his own life just as I was along with Charlotte and Elise. Trevor and I both had separate lives and we managed to blend them together without fault. Just like Harry, Trevor had his own goals in life, and he wasn't going to give up until he came to success and I always admired him for such determination, much like my own. Little did I know, that he had been spending time with another female on the side.
"Mum's going to kill me, you know this Lace?" I laughed softly, breaking the silence that had filled the car.
"No she won't," she shook her head. "If I tell her I was meeting Harry, she won't care."
"Uh, I don't think that's the best idea, hun," I mumbled.
"Why?" she questioned, an exhausted tone laced over her voice.
"Well, I don't want the girls to find out right now. I still need to figure out a decent way to tell them," I muttered.
"Why don't you want them knowing?"
"Um, you know how Elise is "in love" with Harry?" she nodded her small head which I could see in the mirror and I continued. "Well, it's Elise's dream to meet Harry, if she finds out about him, she will go mad and force me to introduce her. I don't want that, I really like Harry myself, and I don't want Elise trying to take Harry from me and then rub it in my face."
"Would she really do that?"
"I think she would," I said looking up at the mirror, shooting a sad smile to my sister.
"I think you're better for Harry than Elise," Lacy grinned.
“Thanks, baby,” I said, my eyes focused back on the road.
When I arrived at my dorm's complex, I pulled into my parking spot, and put the car in park. Lacy was still sat in the back, rubbing her eyes sleepily and yawning. After getting out of the car, I walked around to the back and helped Lacy from her seat. By the look on her face, eyes drooping ever so slowly, I knew she wouldn't make it up the stairs. I picked her up, placing her bum on my hip and securely wrapping my arms around her waist, carried her up to our flat. Without dropping, stumbling, or needing to place Lacy on the floor, I managed to unlock the door and step inside
