The moment the mystery man could no longer be seen, it poured. Ellie sighed as she walked away. She alway thought it was sad seeing everyone pass by in a hurry, ignoring the world around them. Not a single person bonding with another, but that was the city life she had chosen to live.
Pacing to get home, she had seen the only form of contact between two people that was rarely seen, love. Occasionally, she would find two lovers smiling, laughing, hugging, or rarely kissing. She longed for that bond, for love, to come her way. She'd always stop to admire it.
That's how every scene in Dani's film should be. Romantic.
She kept walking until she had reached her apartment. Surely enough, Kara had been in the kitchen cooking dinner.
"I didn't think you'd be home till late, why so early?" Kara turned only to glance at Ellie and looked back at the food.
"Don't tell me he got rid of the new guy already?"
"Then I probably should keep my mouth shut if you don't want to hear it. Let me say, who know a guy could run that fast?"
"Well, you've had an exciting day sit down, dinner's almost done,"
Ellie sat down at the small table for two and sighed,"It's been one the strangest days. Tell me, Kara, why are some men so mysterious?"
Kara froze,"Ellie, dear, whatever you're planning on getting yourself into, get out of it. Your plans always fail and someone always get hurt! So I beg to please sn—"
"KARA!" Ellie slammed her fists onto the now wobbling table and stood frozen, glaring at Kara. Seeing Kara frightened, Ellie sighed,"Look, I understand you trying to help me, to protect me, like you promised Mom and Ben but you can't keep treating me like when we were younger. I want to able to experience things on my own! Even if it involves me getting hurt,"
"Ellie, I'm your step-sister. Hell, we can ditch the step part of it, you're my sister, even if we're not by blood. I'm always going to want to protect you, no matter what. Just please don't get hurt." Kara could no longer look at Ellie.
"I'm not very hungry. I'm going to bed." Ellie stormed into her room.
"Ellie! Come back! Talk to me!" Ellie listened to her yell.
She plugged in her earbuds as she laid on the ground looking at the ceiling. Ellie soon drifted to sleep.

09:42 a.m.
Five more minutes.
09:47 a.m.
Three more minutes.
09:50 a.m.
Just one minute more—SHIT!"Are you kidding me?" Ellie yelled, she had ten minutes to make it to the studio on time.
Rushing back and forth she managed to get ready.
09:54 a.m.
"Just great," She mumbled under her breath. Grabbing her coat and rushing to the café to get her breakfast, the only running she will ever do. Bursting through the door of the café.
"Late again, Ellie?" Jay handed her usual breakfast.
"Aren't I always? Thanks, Jay!" She threw the money and dashed out.
09:59 a.m.
Well, I'm fucked.
She reached the doors, breathing heavily and pushed them open.
10:03 a.m.
"Ellie, my dear, you're late," Dani sang moving towards her.
"You know the drill, Dani. Besides what's three minutes?" She tried to hide the heavy breathing.
