Good Morning!

Her eyes flutter open shortly, before closing again. Yawning, she stretches, arms as far above her head as the headboard allows, arching her back, causing her already lithe body to thin even more. She relaxes, eyes opening fully this time, taking in the lighting from the sun just starting rise.

She shoots up in bed, and hops down, grabbing her towel as she walks across the small apartment and into the even smaller bathroom. She takes a quick shower, pulling on her gym gear, and pulling her dark brown hair back into a high pony tail. She walks back out, and fills her travel mug with coffee before leaving and locking up.

Jogging down the stairs she narrowly avoids plowing into the cute bartista from the apartment above hers. She only knows he's a bartista because they usually head down together when he's heading to work. She blushes, and nods as she continues down the stairs. She's halfway down the stairs when she chances looking back up at him.

He's watching her as she goes. Her breath hitches, and her foot misses the next step, and she feels weightless for a mere few seconds. Those few seconds don't last nearly long enough as she hits the landing, all in view of the cute guy.

"Are you okay?" He touches her shoulder, and looks over her body.

Sitting up, she fidgets under his gaze, "I'm fine, thank you for asking. That happens all the time actually."

He laughs, a deep, beautiful echoing sound, that she commits to a special place in her heart, "You need to be more careful if that's the way it is."

She laughs along with him, "Yeah, I guess you are right. I'll try to, but no guarantees."

He stands up in front of her, putting his hand out for her, she takes it and lets him help her up. She expects him to let go right away, but he doesn't, instead he pulls her closer, and stares into her eyes.

"Your eyes are really pretty." He looks away and bites his lip, "You know, we see each other all the time, but I don't even know your name."

She looks at their hands, and smiles, looking back up at him, "I could say the same thing to you. I'm Shayla, I live in the apartment below you."

He laughs again, and squeezes her hand, "Wow, Shayla is such a pretty name, who picked that out?"

She shakes her head, "That's not how it works, you should introduce yourself first, then you can ask questions."

His smile changes slightly, and seems to be forced, "I'm sorry, you're right, my name is Gage. Where did you get your name though?"

She attempts to take her hand away, but he keeps holding on, "That's personal information, if you take me on a date maybe I'll tell you then. Maybe."

Gage lets go of her hand, and shakes his head, "I'm sorry, your hand was really soft, I didn't realize you wanted it back yet. I feel stupid now. I'll let you get on your way though. And I might take you up on that." He turns away, and starts heading up the stairs, "Have a good morning Shayla."

She starts heading down the stairs, "You too Gage."

This was down with a mini bluetooth keyboard on my phone, and with no sleep, while I'm stressing about a test I have to take today. So I hope this is okay. My new keyboard is really hard to figure, I don't like the placement of everything, but I'm learning it.
