Prologue

Over hundreds of years ago, there was fuss in a small town named River Walls. A few miles away from the town a meteorite has fallen.

The bravest citizens of the town went over to take a look what it was like. They thought that it was a sign of God.

But when they went, they never came back. The citizens that remained were scared that they did something wrong, that maybe it were demons that came to punish them. When that rumor went around the people of the town were to scared to do anything by themselves that's why they asked the mayor to send a letter to the local lord.

When the night fell, the citizens were nothing but tired, so they all went to sleep. A young woman named Cecilia was brave enough to check the place by herself. She also felt a strange pull, like a need to go.

Walking through the forest she practically grew up in didn’t frighten her, even though it was pitch dark. Cecilia knew this forest even better than the back of her hand. No, what scared her was there was absolute no sound except for hers in the forest.

When she came closer to the meadow she saw the lifeless bodies of the people who once were her friends or family. So they didn't reach the thing she thought..

Her hand went up to her mouth as she silently sobbed. There in the moist  grass was her father. She quickly ran to him and fell on her knees in front of him. 'Goodbye, father.' she whispered in his ear.

Determined she stood up en continued her small journey to the place.

At the place self was a deep crater. Cecilia walked over to the place and bend down to look in the crater, only to jump back in shock.

She was not afraid of what was in the crater, she was afraid of what wasn't. Because it was empty.

''Looking for someone." Her heart jumped up in her chest. She turned around but no one was there. '' I'm standing here, Angel' the same husky voice said. An muscular arm wrapped around her waist.  At first she struggled but she knew it was hopeless. She let out an dreadful and loud scream that reached her small village. That was the last the people of River Walls heard of her.

A few of the citizens in the village woke up of the terrible sound, including Cecilia's mom. Instantly she recognized the voice as her daughters. She kicked her sheet off and ran to her daughter’s bedroom.

There she threw door open only to find it empty. 'Cecilia, where are you? her voice sounded broken, so lifeless. She couldn't lose the only family she had. But deep down she knew she already had. She didn't know she was crying until she felt warm tears fallen on her cheeks. She leaned against the wall and slowly sank to the floor. Why, oh why must I lose them?

The others who woke up gathered together and slowly walked to the place where they heard the noise. On their way they quietly talked about what they heard. '' I swear to God that the voice sounded just like Cecilia's'' one said. The others nodded in agreement.

When they arrived at the crater, nobody was there. They didn't found Cecilia or a sign of anything living. The only thing they found were her necklace and her nice bracelet that she got from her parents. The necklace was made of gold, that was found in a mine close to the town. Her father, who was the best smith in the area made it special for her. In the middle was an heart-shaped medallion. If  you opened it you could see an inscription.

Always follow your heart.

Because it leads you to the right place.

On her charm-bracelet stood the same text in a similar heart-shaped charm. The only other charm was of a pair black wings with in silver letters a name: Roman

The people thought there was nothing else to find or see, except Cecilia's things and the dead bodies of their former citizens

But one of members who had a sharp eye saw something shining in the green grass.

He walked over and picked it up. Then dropped it quickly. Others around him gasped and stepped away. There in the soft moist grass was a long black feather.

Word spread around quickly about the holy thing. People all over the place came to admire the black feather. Even some royals, included the king.

Cecilia's necklace and charm-bracelet was buried next to the feather, because every time they tried to take it away. It suddenly disappeared and was found again next to the feather.

The small town of 97 grew to a bigger village up to hundreds of people. Which also meant that they needed more space for houses. The meadow of Miracle became the cemetery of River Walls.

As the years came and went people forgot about the miracle. The people who knew died. The miracle soon was forgotten and stayed a myth or a bedtime story for the youth. The only thing that remained was that Cecilia was never found. And later on her jewelry and the feather were nowhere to be seen. No one noticed the statue of a young, weeping girl in the center of the cemetery.

I haven't change that much things. At some point I removed  or added somethings. I hope it's better than the first prologue. And now I also got a bettter story line.
