Olivia was the only one who Dylan would let around her. It's like people in general are a trigger and it sucks, but it's life. Dylan would lay in her room all day if she could, but Olivia made her do things to keep her busy. Olivia didn't want her to end up like she did.

Olivia made Dylan some soup. She needed something in her stomach, but just like Olivia, Dylan would refuse to eat. It was like deja vu. I know it hurts, but you have to eat."

"..No.."

"Dylan, please," Olivia begs. "It's just you and me. Daddy took Aiden to the arcade so we're alone, alright?"

"Don't make me eat that, please! Please don't make me!"

"C'mon, just a few bites," she tries. She lifted the spoon to Dylan's mouth and she reluctantly opened, letting the food in. Dylan started bawling and refused to swallow. "Dylan, you have to eat." After a few seconds, she swallowed it, but then she got up and threp up in the trashcan.

Olivia was in new territory. She's never made herself puke, and she's only seen it happen first hand one other time when she was a rookie. When she was done, Dylan sat on the floor and hugged herself, repeating "i'm sorry" as she rocked back and forth.

Olivia picked her up and helped her stand on her own. Dylan cried into Olivia's chest. "I'm so sorry, mom! I'm s-sorry!"

"It's okay, shh..i'm here. Mommy's right here," Olivia coos in her ear. "Let's get you cleaned up, okay? I'll help you."

"No!" Dylan still hates water. Elliot and Olivia aren't sure why, but she does. Of course she showers every day and washes her hands and stuff, but she hates doing so. She never lasts more than five minutes in there, including shaving, because she hates it so much. Since her attack, it's taken much longer, she's zombified, and just like Olivia, she has to have help, or nothing would get done. That's the part she hates the most, is having her mom bathe her.

"The sooner we do it, the sooner it'll be over with."

*******

Olivia handed Dylan the washrag so she could wash her private areas, but she just sat there and stared at the wall. "Dylan..please. I don't want this just as much as you do." Nothing. Olivia sighed and took the washrag back.

Nothing hurt, obviously, but Dylan could still feel everything. Sometimes she wished her illness made her completely numb. When the cloth made contact with her skin, Dylan started crying again.

"I'm sorry, honey."

Once she was done, Olivia grabbed a towel. Dylan knew the routine and stepped out. She slowly dried herself off and got dressed. It was this time that Elliot got home with Aiden. Aiden was on his way to his room when he saw his sister walking into hers. He went over to her and hugged her from behind. He wasn't trying to scare her or make her upset. He was actually trying to make her feel better.

Dylan screamed loudly and pushed him off of her. She locked herself in her room and hid under the blankets, sobbing.

Elliot went to her room and questioned Aiden. "What happened?"

"I was just giving her a hug to make her feel better and she yelled and then went in her room. I didn't mean to make her mad."

"Buddy, she's not mad at you, she's just scared, okay? Go to your room and get ready for bed."

*******

It took almost forty-five minutes to get Dylan to sleep. Olivia's mind was going crazy. She couldn't help but cry in remembrance of her own experience and how hard it is to watch her daughter go through that.

"It's okay, Liv. She'll get through it. She's strong, just like you."

"I shouldn't have let her go, El! I should've made her stay home, but I didn't!"

Elliot rais ed up and held her. "Baby, this wasn't your fault! You didn't get her raped-"

"She's my baby! She's thirteen and she's my little girl and she's just like me!"

"Olivia, you are great. She's lucky to be anything like you, she's lucky to have you, all of the kids are, okay? They're lucky to have a mother as great as you. You didn't know there was gonna be some perverted piece of shit at that game. You didn't know that was gonna happen to her-"

"We didn't protect her.." Olivia whispers. "We didn't protect her."
