People say that the world is a cruel and unusual place. I have to disagree. It's the people who live here who are the real villains, the ones who are allowed to choose peace but still choose cruelty. My name is Anneke Black, this is my story.

My mother is an Asian woman. I wish I knew her more but all I remember is that she grew up on a feild and played with her animals. She has a scar from her Asian clan on her wrist, she said her mother gave it to her. My mothers name is Yuki Takahashi. But that was taken from her when human traffickers stole all the animals on her parents farm and demanded for the girl. They needed the money, so they gave him my mom. Unlike Ackerman, nobody ever saved her. She was taken to a man named Charles Black. He was a rich man in Wall Sina who kept his riches to himself. She was only 15 years old when he bought her off the black market. She was a slave, tortured, worked until she would barely keep her eyes open, and violated by the older man.

As this was inevitable, my mother became pregnant. My father wanted to kill the baby, but she had already told all the servants she was expecting. The church of the walls demanded he marry Yuki and break an arranged marriage. That would have been a woman's dream to marry a handsome man who has money. To my mother, it was a living nightmare. She gave birth to my older brother that year. His name is Rin, named after my mothers best friend. I came along 5 years later. My brother suggested the name "Onii-kun." But he messed up and said "Annie-key." So from there on my mother named me Anneke. As a child I have little memories, besides going around the house. My fathers marriage with my mother did not stop him from sleeping with other women. He often brought sluts from underground to have sex with. My mother became an alcoholic and drank more than her small body could handle. She often passed out on the sofa, a bottle of booze in her hands while crying. As for my brother, he was the one who raised me. But most of the time he was underground getting into fights. He was always in trouble with the Military Police, but thankfully my rich family kept him somewhat in shape. He would come home at 3 AM, belly empty and extremely tired. I would wait for him to come home. I never felt safe unless he was around. When he came back I would have a meal prepared. Unfortunately this was not always the case. Sometimes I wouldn't sleep at all. It was all worth it though when he came home and gave me a hug. "I'm home emerald eyes." Rin would always say, taking about my green eyes, and ruffle my long black hair.

It was a shitty life from the start. I was a slave to my family's problems. That took a toll on my young mind and damaged me. Mental wasn't the word. More like isolated. So isolated that my brain told me things that weren't true. I was only a child so of course I believed them. Before long, my mother became pregnant with another child when I was 5 and Rin  was 10. Her name was Hinami, but everyone called her Nami. The poor child had no choice but to deal with her family's insanity. If only I could have helped her sooner. But that wasn't an option at the time. She was a beautiful child, with green eyes with hints of brown in them. Her hair flowed to her waist. My eyes were a pretty shade of green, but other than that i was normal for a child in Wall Sina. Except that I was part oriental. My black hair was very long, due to my mom usually not being sober enough to I cut it. Many kids would bully me because I was smaller then them. My brother would usually beat them up but the words still hurt.

Then the night happened. March 10th 830, Rin, Nami, mom and I were asleep in the same bed. I had my ear pressed to my brothers belly, my mother was holding Nami so she didn't get hurt. She was done with my fathers abuse. She had a plan to have us leave. She would divorce him, and take us to live with her childhood friend, the man Rin was named after. We would live the life she lived before her abduction and live a normal human life. Nami was wrapped in a small pink cloak that was once mine. A slam echoed through the house. My mother put Nami down into her crib, and looked at Rin and I. "Stay here. I'm going to tell your father I am divorcing him." She said this calmly and without emotion. she tied her hair into its braid. "I will be back." Her brown eyes reflected my own brothers, passionate and unafraid for once in her life.

"Okay. I'll keep them safe." Rin said holding me closer to him, and taking Nami out of her crib and laying her on his lap. "Go on Yuki." He said smiling as my mom walked downstairs

Yuki POC

My heart was beating too fast. My stomach twisted and turned, but if I didn't do this my children would die. I couldn't let them live their life in torture because I am too afraid to stand up to their asshole of a father. I kept on walking, taking a sip of wine from Namis bottle. A footstep resounded behind me. "Charles. I refuse to stay with you any longer." I stared forward not turning around. "I'm leaving you. I'm taking the children to see their real family. You don't see that your son is getting into crime, your daughter is becoming depressed and your youngest is gonna go down the same road." Before I should finish, a bang resounded as I felt a searing pain in my chest. I looked down to see a bullet in my chest, just between my ribcages. I layed back down, I vomited blood as I saw who walked by. The brother of one of Charles prostitues. I couldn't stop my sobbing. What would happen to Rin, Anneke and Hinami? I yelled as loud as my lungs would let me. My braid was soaking up the blood pouring from my body... I hope they hear me

Normal POV

I kept my head pressed next to my brothers stomach, trying to listen to something besides the footsteps. I could only shake and shiver as I listened to the soft internal noises inside. That's when the sound of a gunshot resounded. Nami woke up sobbing and struggled, her small three year old legs tried to run out of the home. Rin knew what that noise was, and grabbed a knapsack from under the bed. "Anneke, give Nami a coat. We have to leave. Right now." He said whisper yelling. I nodded and put on my most plain jacket I could find.

We ran downstairs, hearing men talking. From where I was upstairs, I saw her. My mom. Her waist length braid was stained with blood and vomit. I whimpered and pointed to her, getting Rins attention. I had forgotten for easily angered he is. With a scream he ran downstairs and grabbed a gun, shooting one of the men in the chest. Seeing his mistake he looked at me in a way that screamed 'Get Nami and run!' I grabbed her small hand and ran outside. Her glove slipped off, I turned around and saw her sprinting to keep up, before a bullet ran through her small head. Rin grabbed my wrist and took me into the woods and told me to hide inside of a log. I fell asleep from exhaustion, and woke up to the light shining bright in my eyes. I was only wearing an undershirt and a pair of underpants. "Finally woke up." He said sighing, taking a mouth full of egg. "Thought you were dead. I found breakfast..." He muttered while swallowing.

"Where's mommy and Nami? Are we at her friends house?" I asked and stretched. "Where's my dress?"

"I burned it." Rin said with no emotion. "We can't let people know we're rich. How much do you remember from last night?"

My eyes swelled with tears. "N-No...it's a nightmare. Is not real. It's like when you turned into one of those monsters." I continued sobbing.

"Both are true though." He said playing with his food and looking up at me. "When I turned into a Titan that was because I didn't have a choice. If I did I wouldn't have. We already established what you did back then was dangerous and both of our faults. There's no need to bring it up. Second of all Yuki and Hinami are dead...were the only ones left." Rin looked at me as I collapsed in the floor.

"Mom...MOM!!!!!"
