The Beginning

"Julia you need to learn to grow up!!" Mom yelled at me. " Mom life is not about growing up its about living freely and discovering!" I yell back. Dad walks in from out side. " Darek tell her she is to old to still be reading these dragon bullpoopie...." Mom looks at dad with a beging look. " Well sorry Linda but she is old enough to make her choices....." he smiles at me and i smile back. " See mom im old enough to believe what i want. " I say then storm off to my room.

I slam my door shut and plop on my bed. My phone dings and i sigh and look at it. It says its from Jonathan. I smile and open it to read it.

Jonathan: wanna come over??

Me: sure when??

Jonathan: now if u like!!

Me: sure ill ask dad to drop me off be there in five!!!

Jonathan: k!!

I walk down stair with my phone and see mom crying and dad holding her rocking shoulds, murmuring it her ' that it is okay '. I walk in and whisper to dad " can i go to Jonathan's?? " He words ' sure but be back by 10:30 pm'. I mouth back ' okay dad'.

I walk to Jonathan's house which is not that far but the walk seems like forever. I play back the scene with my mom yelling at me ' you need to learn to grow up '. Like who tells their kid that, well yeah I might not be a kid anymore but I still feel like one.

I dont feel the 16 year old girl I'm supposed to be, the young woman I'm supposed to be. Why do people always see me as an adult when inside I'm still a frightened kid! Even Jonathan treats me like I'm an---...

My thought were lost when a car came dashing around a corner and hit me. Next thing I knew was I was in pain then everything blacked out.
