She stared at him for a while, a look of surprise almost as if she had been caught doing something she shouldn't. After a few moments of silence he decided to turn his music down. "What are you doing up here?" He asked, "Oh nothing, just getting to know the area you know?" She replied hesitantly. "Not from around the area?" He proudly asked. She shyly said, "No I'm not, I.. I just moved a few months ago." He questioned her, "What made you decide this exact roof would be your place of exploration?" She shrugged. "I.. I don't really know, just a feeling." He smirked, "You sure you weren't just following me? I noticed you looking at me as I got my bubble tea." She became scattered trying to find something to say but couldn't, "You caught me, so why are you up here at this time anyway?" Then he grinned and just laughed. He was curious about her the way you are curious about a book with a unique title or a dog with no owner. There was a long pause at which he just looked at her, he studied her. The movements she made, the way she presented herself. Why was she wearing a dress at this time? He wondered, so he asked, "what's with the outfit? Going somewhere fancy at" he checked his phone. "2:24 Am?" She looked down and realized that she hadn't even changed after getting off work. "'No, no I just I got off work and didn't think to go home and change." He smiled. "So mysterious stalker girl, what might your name be?" She smiled, "it's Liv." He looked at her and mouthed liv over and over until what he seemed like was it felt to stick. He then asked, "So is that short for like Alivia?" She smirked, "Nope, just Liv." He nodded. He grabbed her hand and started pulling her toward the door. "Come on." He begged, "you said you wanted to see the town." He had seen her many times knowing she had been here for a few months but he went with it anyway. "So, this is the waterfront." He pointed in the direction they were walking. Continuing along she pulled him back for a second. "I have to tell you something." She look nervous and her cheeks went the colour of roses. "What is it?" He asked. "I know this town pretty well, I've been here for a while and I just wanted to spend time with you. He looked over and smiled, "Well then why didn't you say so?" They walked along the waterfront, hand in hand, no sound just silence. Occasionally he would look over at her and think to himself how beautiful she was. Sometimes she would catch him looking and she would just smile and look away. She did not look at him much, she felt it would be an intrusion of his privacy but she did like the way he looked. He took her to the bridge that connected the downtown and waterfront. They stood looking over for a little while then he asked. "Do you ever feel like jumping?" This took her by surprise, no she hadn't. Wondering why he asked she just replied, "No." He smiled and they carried on their way.
