Oh, Sweet Little Kittens.

Apprentices

     Keir was sleeping soundly on the cold leaf. "Wake up!" said a voice. "Huh?" Keir looks up and sees Wren scrunching up her face. "Your gonna waste the day sleeping!" She says. "Why, nothings happening today." He said and falls back asleep. "Yes, there is," Wren shakes Keir violently. "Don't you know kittens are getting to be apprentices," Wren continues. "TODAY!!" Keir shots up. "Today?," Keir looks shocked. "I thought it was tomorrow!"  A distant call says, "KITTENS. WE ARE STARTING IN 5 MINUTES." Wren looked outside and saw kittens sitting down, and waiting. "HURRY! THEY'RE STARTING SOON!!" They both ran outside and joined the other kittens.

     Keir was half asleep, and Wren was wide awake and alert. She knew she would be the apprentice of the master. And she was determined to be it. Even if she was the last kitten on earth, she WOULD be it. Keir didn't really care if he was the second one to be chosen next to Wren. It just means more work so he was not determined to be the second apprentice. But, no time for backing out now. The meeting has started.

     The master called out upon the waves of kittens, "Hello every kitten," He coughed up a hairball and continued. "Today we are at a assembly, about the three new apprentices to learn by my lead!" Every kitten was cheering and happily thinking they were gonna be picked. "Firstly, we must sing the Toru anthem," He coughed again. "Every kitten. Sit tall with pride, put your paws to your heart, and begin!" The kittens sang choppy, off tune, and the worst of all, high pitched. They all sang, "Oh greatest colony of all, Toru the land of peace... Justice may bring us pride, Toru the land of brave!" The counsels clapped. The master plugged his ears. "Great job every kitten." The wave of kittens whooped and bowed to one another.

     "Now, we must get to the apprentices." The master said over the loud kits. Everyone quieted down after he had said that. "The grades, the participation, and activity, will all count." Everyone groaned but quieted down after. "The first kit has all A's, has great participation, and does great in activity's..." He rested his voice a moment, then went on. "Her name is.....Wren Robson!" Everyone cheered for her, and she walked up to the rock. "Thank you all, so much! Also you my favorite teachers!" The teachers grinned. "Next, he has A's and B's, does well in participation, and great in activity's,"                  "His name is, Kier Willow!" Keir woke up and looked around, everyone was staring, they could not believe he was the masters apprentice! He walked up, and didn't say anything to the kits, just stood there. "Next, he does great in anything! Benji Hibbots!" Benji walked proudly with his orange fur shining in the sunlight. Once he got onto the rock, he sat down proud, and said, "Thank you all! Its a honor to be up here." Then he backed away and got in line with the other apprentices.
