Jack put JJ's phone into his backpack so he could give him his phone back tomorrow. Jack quickly phoned Nash and they arranged to meet up.
Jack picked up his car keys and walked outside and into his car. He started the engine and turned on the radio. His favourite song was on, Sex by The 1975. He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel as he made his way to Nash's house.
"I was beginning to think you weren't gonna come." Nash smiled cheekily.
He climbed into the car, his hair getting in his eyes. Jack secretly hated his hair, he wanted him to get a haircut, badly.
It irritated Jack that Nash always spoke about how many girls he had been with or how many girls were checking him out.
"Dude!" Nash yelled. "Today in English, guess who was checking me out!"
"Some cute girl?" Jack rolled his eyes but kept his eyes on the road.
"No. Cameron Dallas." He laughed loudly.
Jack stopped talking. He didn't laugh, not even a smile broke his face.
"Dude, that's funny!" Nash slapped Jack's arm.
"No, it's really not." Jack huffed.
"Whatever man." Nash chuckled softly and the rest of the car ride was silent.
Jack pulled into an old gym hall that was used to rent out years ago.
Jack pulled in behind a big overgrown garden, so his car was hidden.
Jack and Nash both got out the car and went behind the building. They found like broken plank of wood that was trying to keep trespassers out. They moved it to the side to reveal a medium sized gap in the steel panelling on the wall.
Jack crept through it and walked into Gym #4 He dug around in the cupboard and found a basketball.
-
"That's 9, we gotta go before Carter gets here and starts getting high again." Jack threw the basketball away.
Jack heard voices, familiar voices. Not Carter, not anyone they could recognise instantly.
Jack froze. He realised who it was. Nash, on the other hand, had not heard any. He opened his mouth to speak, but Jack had quickly shoved him against a wall and shoved his hand over his mouth. Jack crept out of the gym, Nash closely behind him, and slowly tiptoed past the way they came in. The voices were getting louder and Jack was panicking.
Jack and Nash ran as quietly as they could towards the back of the building, there was a loose floorboard, that was big enough for them to crawl underneath.
Jack moved the floorboard and was about to crawl underneath, when a flash of light caught his eye, there was a window, left without any planks of wood over it.
Jack hurried over and pushed the window open, he dove out of the building and helped Nash out too. They quietly closed the window before sprinting back to Jack's car.
They crouched beside the car and sat down with their backs against the car doors.
"Dude..." Nash said, out of breath. "Who was that."
Jack didn't say anything. He couldn't say anything.
Jack got up and got into the car. Nash sat in the passenger seat and they didn't speak for the whole ride back to Nash's house.
Jack stopped outside his house and Nash was about to get out.
"Who was it?" Nash asked.
Jack ignored him and looked straight ahead.
"Jack-" Nash tried again.
"I think you should leave." Jack said sternly.
Nash got out the car and Jack returned home. He locked his car and went inside. He got out his homework and started doing that.
He kept hearing JJ's phone go off from inside his backpack. It was starting to really annoy him. He snatched his phone from his backpack and looked at the incoming message.
' Jack, where are you? Hurry up and get your ass over here, this is the address.'
Jack was once again confused by JJ's texts, but decided to forget about it and quickly turned his phone on silent.
He went back to his homework and quickly raced through it. He ran upstairs and took a long shower.
Jack threw on a pair of boxers and material shorts before climbing into bed.
-
"JACK GET UP!" A voice yelled from downstairs.
Jack groaned and rolled out of bed. He pulled on fresh boxers and looked through his wardrobe to find clothes to wear.
He took out a pair of light blue skinny jeans and a plain white t-shirt with a nike tick in the top left corner.
He slipped on plain white ankle socks and Vans Old Skools. Jack walked into his bathroom and took our his hair gel.
Jack took a small amount on his fingers and gently styled his hair into a quiff, being careful to make sure his hair didn't look greasy.
Jack grabbed his backpack and slung it over his shoulder before trotting downstairs.
He grabbed a bowl out the cupboard and dumped a big pile of Cap 'n Crunch into it. He poured milk over the top and sat down at the counter before eating the cereal.
Jack scrolled through twitter while he ate his breakfast.
"Bye Jack." His older sister, Megan, smiled before walking out of the door.
Jack checked the time 8:25.
'Shit.' Jack thought to himself. 'I'm gonna be late.'
Jack threw his bowl in the sink before grabbing his car keys and running to the door.
"BYE MOM!" Jack yelled slamming the door shut.
He jumped into his car and threw his backpack onto the passenger seat before starting the engine and reversing out of their driveway.
Jack arrives at school and jumps over the car door, as his car does not have a roof.
He grabs his rucksack from the passenger seat and struts into the school hallway.
Everyone looks at Jack while he walks in. It's normal. Jack can't hide from attention.
He says various greetings to his classmates as he strolls through the hallway with ease, people parting to create a clear pathway for him.
He sees Andrea. Andrea Russett. The only girl he seriously likes. Not for a fling, he would give up all his one-night-stands for this one girl.
They flirt back and forth, but Andrea isn't serious about Jack.
But, I mean who could be?
