I was driving down the road to the store, when a sertain item caught my eye at a yard sale. It was a big mirror old looking, maybe from the 1800s. It was pretty. I decided to buy it, but before I could get it to the car I was stopped by a very old woman. She told me to never hang it up near a closet under stairs or in a bathroom.
Of course I thought she was crazy. I didn't pay any attention to what she said, I hung it up in my bathroom. I put it on the far wall. It looked perfect there, almost like it has been there before. I put it there because I have a black rectangle there. The mirror I just bought fits perfectly. Its the perfect shape. I stood there staring a it, but then I walked off.
Later that night I thought I heard something, it sounded like scratching.I thought it was just the cat wanting in my room. I got up to let her in but nothing was there. Before I could go back to sleep something caught my eye in the bathroom. I couldn't explain what it was, but it did look like a girl, there and gone. I thought I was just halusinating from being so tired.
The next morning I woke up to the mirror face down on the floor. When I hung it back up I saw they something was carved on the wall where it goes, it read "you are screwed," after that was just a bunch of scratch marks. I though that some kids broke in last night and were pulling a prank on me, so I though nothing of it. I decided to go down to the police station, I told them my address and asked if my alarm went off. They told me nothing happened, then asked why I wanted to know. I told them that I had just bought a mirror, and this morning woke up to it face down on the floor with carvings in the wall.
They asked what it looked like and where I got it. I described it to them and told them the address. They said I had to smash or sell it.
"Is this some kind of joke!?" I asked annoyed.
They replied with a no ma'am. I could not take them seriously. Part of me wanted to believe them, but the other part wanted to think they were insane. I decided not to believe them, but I did feel a little uneasy on the way home. By time I got home I wasn't even gonna try and make lunch since it was 4:00, instead I took a nap. When I woke up I saw the same girl from a few days ago, she was standing there staring at the mirror. I could not move, I chose not to move. I had a better look at her this time, she was Yong, had black hair, looked like she was crying and was wearing a black dress. She walked out of the bathroom and into the bedroom where I was. She stood there in front of me. I gathered enough courage to ask her name.
"Lilith," she replied quietly.
The turned and walked of to the bathroom, then vanished.
A week passed since she appeared, and nothing has happened. I was starting to think it was all in my head. One night I was coming home from work and as I pulled up in my driveway I saw her standing in my bathroom. I ran inside but was sure to be quiet so I wouldn't startle her. I walked into the bathroom and whispered her name. She quickly turned around and pointed at the mirror, and was gone.
I did some resurch and found out that a girl in her early twenty's named Lilith was kidnapped and held in my house. I also found she was killed in front of my mirror. After she was killed the murderer trued to burn the mirror but it didn't work.
After I got of the computer I decided to call a priest to come and remove her so she can rest in peace. When I talked to him all I had to really say was my address and "mirror." The next day he showed up at my house and did some ritual thing, he was chanting an old language. It took about two hours for him to get completely done. I tried to pay him but he would not take any money.
Since the priest came the activity got worse. She has started coming more and more. The mirror will even start rattling at night keeping me up. I decided to put a sheet over it. That just made it worse. The mirror is cracked now not bad but cracked. I remembered what I was told. About breaking the mirror, since its cracked it's tenically broken. I was wrong, nothing stopped. Its gotten to where it will shake itself of of the wall. Its frame has dents, and is dirty. I put it outside before I went to bed. When I woke up I'm the mosmashingwent to the bathroom and there it was, the mirror was back. I tried everything I could think of except selling or smashing. I figured smashing would not work since it is still active with a crack and I just couldn't sell it because it was just what I wanted. I knew I was being stupid, but I didn't care. I would do anything I could to stop the activity and keep the mirror. I went to the police station again and as soon as I walked in they told me to smash it. I guess they new why I was here.
"I will not sell or smash, it is too perfect!" I stated.
"You stupid girl, do as we say, or you will be sorry!" They yelled.
After that I stormed out, I didn't want to do as they said. On the way home I started thinking, I knew that I couldn't just throw it away, then I thought if I moved it to a different spot in the house everything would end.
When I got home I moved it to the guest room. It was late so I just went to bed. When I woke up it was back in the same spot in the bathroom.
"Guess I have no choice." I thought.
I went and got the hammer, I smashed it to pieces. For the rest of the day everything was fine it didn't show up in the bathroom.
The next morning it was back.
"They tricked me,they made me feel stupid," I screamed.
I had too sell it, luckily someone wanted it, I sold it for 100. I thought it was all over for good this time, but I was wrong it was back in the bathroom the next day.
I did some research and you can never return a haunted item to its original home.
"Looks like I'm stuck with it," I thought. The internet said that even if I move it will show up.
