Play day was really fun and I actually got to hang out with Kaden a lot. I woke up and got dressed fast because play day was
about a week before the last day of 5th grade. This is how it started. My class went in stations as well as the other grades and classes. First we did an obstacle course with us crawling under hula hoops, jumping on mini trampolines, going no n the rock climbing wall, the monkey bars, and running. But anyway after that we had a food break outside where everyone could hang out and thats when I got really happy. Kaden and I got these small paper cups then filled them with water and threw them at each other and laughed and talked. It was the best I had ever felt. Now here is where it got personal. By the end of the day Lexi got a note a page long from a boy named Shane. He was tall, blonde, and had blue eyes. Here's some of what it read; Dear Lexi, I never told you this but I really like you. You're so pretty, kind, funny, smart, I could go on and on about you. I hope that we still keep in touch after the 5th grade and that I get to watch you grow and get smarter and prettier than you already are. I'll miss you over the summer and its too bad we won't go to the same school. From, Shane. She almost cried as she read it. "Awww Shane you're so sweet I'll miss you so much!" She said to him about to cry. "Oh well um thank you." Shane answered. When it was time to play outside again the three of us sat on a jungle gym and I watched Kaden pay football admiring the way he ran, and just admiring him. The sun was as bright and it was really hot outside. Lexi and Shane sat next to each other on the jungle gym while I sat behind them wishing that was Kaden and I. Shane looked at Lexi like any girl would want to be looked at, and she blushed. We all stood silent for a while untill it was time to go to our next station. At the end of the day Lexi wrote back to Shane on the back of his letter to him. Then Kaden and I read it. Kaden grunted as he read it and was shaking all over he looked as if he would cry. I found it cute the way he stood, his back as straight as can be, his head facing down towards the paper like a lamp in the dark. "I would probably cry if I wrote one of these." Said Kaden. "Mhm." I whispered to myself. When we finally had to go home I thought to myself, what if Kaden ever wrote something like that to me? I wonder if he cares about me as much as Shane loved Lexi. I thought this to myself as I went into my car.
