As James and Rowena grew up, they became very close and also very curious of their surroundings. "What is this one about?" Asked an eleven year old James with his six year old sister giggling close behind him. Her dark brown curls bounced with each giggle  and her green eyes could hardly be seen through her smiling eyes. "Just an old book," Their mother said as she pulled the book from the self," we have had this book for 5 generations. It tells about our family." The kids looked at each other, "Wow!" they said in sync. "Read it!" Rowena yelled. "Not today," said her mother as she tried to calm Rowena down " maybe some other time, but right now we need to finish cleaning up." "Please mommy!" She said with her best puppy dog face. Even James joined in with the effort. "Oh my." Their mother said with a chuckle, "Well alright." She sat down in the rocking chair and opened the big book. "This is the story of the Grimmly family..." The book went on and on about who married who and how many kids they had. Just when the kids were wishing they hadn't asked for this book to be read, it captured their attention. "After Martha Kunswick married Sam Grimmly  as a wedding present Martha was given a beautiful bracelet wit one white shimmering stone. It was said to be very valuable  and powerful. It was also said to have magical powers that can only be used once and after that the bracelet is gone forever." She closed the big book and looked at the children. They were big eyed and dumbfounded about this magical bracelet. "Is there any more to the story?" Asked James. His mother shook her head, "Sorry Hun. That's all." Rowena looked quizzical, " Where is the bracelet now?"  The mother slowly rolled up her sleeve to reveal a beautiful opalescent stone in the middle of a golden chain. When the sun caught the stone it turned a rainbow of colors and shimmered like the stars. "Wow!" Said bothe kids in sync.
