chapter 1

Ariana POV

ok we already know that my name is Ariana Grande. Im 18 and I live in los Angeles, California. Alright now to the good stuff.

I was just sitting at my piano bored just looking for inspiration. Did I mention that this is a new piano?  would like to write a song with my new piano. wait that's it

'' I could write a song with my new piano, I can sing about how love is a losing battle, not hard (its not hard), its not hard (its not hard) 3x, and I could sing about cupid and his shooting arrow, in the end youll find out that my heart was battered, real hard (real hard)''

well that's all I have for right now but it actually sounded good. ive written a few songs and by a few I mean 6. I've written: ''Focus'' , ''Break free'', ''one last time'',  ''just alittle bit of your heart'', ''honeymoon avenue'' and ''Tattooed heart'' 

did I mention im a youtube star. I write my own music and sometimes do covers and put them on youtube. I was just sitting down scrolling through my instagram when I got a text from my bestfriend. she asked if I wanted to come over to her house and I said yes since I was bored.

My bestfriend name is Camila Cabello. she has light brown hair. shes skinny and has brown eyes and shes Spanish. shes also a  singer/song writer but she doesn't do it alone. she friends with four other girls named normani, ally, lauren and Dinah jane. they call themselves Fifth harmony.  we all just graduated together and they were youtube stars as well. someday we all hope to get famous.

they made a few songs called ''better together'', ''miss movin on'', '' who are you'', '' them girls be like'','' going nowhere'' and '' im in love with a monster''. which they wrote on Halloween but they're working on a song called ''reflection''.

anyways so I put on a pink crop top, some skinny jeans and my pink flats. I put my hair in a half up half down style. I went to my car my parents got me after I graduated. I arrived at camila's house.  rung the door bell and lauren answered.

lauren: hey Ari

Ariana: hey lauren so where are the girls

lauren: upstairs being clowns

Ariana: haha. hey girls

ally: ARIANA!

Ariana: hi allyyyyyy

normani: so hows it going

Ariana: its good what about you guys

Dinah: its great were working on reflection

camila: yeah were almost done its really good

Ariana: I would love to hear it

Dinah: ''I must confess you looking fresh, yup im impressed go head n flex, everybody be hating the way that your stealing the show, cause ohhh you be killing them just like lil terio''

Camila: ''ooh you can it, anything you want, and cant nobody ever tell you no, don't need no filters on pictures before you post em on my gram you can shut down the internet, they don't evenunderstand''

Lauren: ''ooh ooh ooh ooh, they don't em quite like you, no no ooh ooh ooh ooh, it aint bragging if you  know its true''

Normani: ''where you from? must be heaven, you'd be rich if looking good is your profession, think im in love, cause you so sexy, boy I aint talking about you im talking to my own reflection'' 6x

Camila: ''why you think im putting on my favorite perfume? why you think this dress so tight that I can barely move? why you think im dancing in these uncomfortable shoes? I did it all, I did it all ,I did it all for you''

Ariana: omg I love it, and I thought you said you were working on it?

camila: well I guess we just finished it haha

Ariana: it was sooo good. yall should post it on youtube

lauren: yeah were gonna do that later.

My phone started ringing. I looked at the caller I.d it says republic records ive heard of them before.

normani: who is it?

Ariana: republic records

N,A,L,C,D: ANSWER IT!!

**Ariana: hello?

jimmy: yes, is this Ariana grande?

Ariana: yes**

Dinah: put it on speaker

**jimmy: well I was siting in my office when my assistant starting watching some videos of a girl with a really good voice and I told her to get me your number and I got it so let me get to the point. how would you like to republic records newest artist.

Ariana: yess omg yes

jimmy: well come done to los Angeles studio  tomorrow 10 am.

Ariana: ok thank you so much

jimmy: No. Thank you Ms.Grande**

camila: omg your gonna be signed to republic records this is good for you. your gonna be big.

Ariana: thanks you guys helped me and now were just waiting for your phone call. we always talked about this being famous together.

ally: hey guys look at this

lauren: what is it

ally: well I was on youtube looking at the comments and this girl said we sing beautifully together and that we should check out her youtube page. well  did and she sings really good but as you know they have haters and a hater commented '' wow u do sing good but your to fat, to make it in the business''

Ariana: ok well first off that's so rude to tell someone, it doesn't matter how she looks, she has a beautiful voice.

camila: yeah she does guys we should come up with a song and dedicate it to her. well not just her to all girls who feel insecure about them selves.

Dinah: that actually sounds like a great idea.

*camila's phone rings*

**camila:hello?

producer: hi its epic records, lets just get to the point. I want fifth harmony to the studio right now on 5th avenue . ill explain when you get here.

camila: ok**
