Pairing: Izaya x Namie
Izaya and Namie had their first baby not a long while back.
They both had a kind of hard time with a new member to the family. Namie thought cereal looked weird on outside, but she had to make it for her new baby to stay healthy. Izaya knew Namie won’t change diapers, so he had to do it. She would hear him screaming of disgust and all she would say was ‘Serves you right’. There were lots of other issues with a new little family member. One of them was night crying.Namie wasn’t much of a light sleeper, she wouldn’t be woke up very easily neither does she need too much noise to wake her up. On the other hand, Izaya was a much light sleeper. He would wake up from a knocking on the door, that’s if he actually ever slept.
Namie realized that in the past few days, he’s been yawning
more. Sleeping accidentally on his work, or even in shower. She asked him about it and all he would say is it’s because of work, which was an obvious lie. No matter what kind of work he had, it won’t ever exhaust him to this limit. In fact, he enjoys his work, and a lot.
That night she decided to act sleeping and see what he really did at night. Around 3A.M., Izaya came to bed. That was normal, the usual.
He placed his body slowly beside her, placing the blanket on him trying not to wake her up. A few moments later, a crying started echoing in the room. So annoying, so loud. Namie was so disturbed by the sound. It was obvious from where it was.
The baby.
Izaya stood up, seeming used to it. Walked slowly to the baby’s bed, and took her in his hands. Swinging the baby a bit, trying to make the little human calm down and sleep. He started singing a lullaby because he knew it would help. He was hushing for a while, before singing Twinkle Twinkle to make her sleep comfortably.
Namie just stared at Izaya’s good-dad side, that she’s never seen before. She hated to admit that he was a good dad and that she was slightly glad that he was her child’s dad.
It took three hours for the baby to sleep, and Namie had already slept during that time. Izaya placed their child in her bed
carefully, kissing her on the forehead. He looked at the clock.6A.M.
“Guess I should make a new sleeping schedule?”
