The Benson-Stabler household has been far too hectic. Dylan's trust issues are way out of hand and she won't speak to Aiden, who Olivia and Elliot depend on to help around the house now that Dylan can't-won't.
Olivia is beyond frustrated with everything, she's so overwhelmed and doesn't exactly know how to deal with it. Her mind is always preoccupied with her concerns about Dylan and it's hard to focus, but that's what being a mother is. Multitasking, juggling multiple things at once, and still being sane. She just needs to work on being sane.
"Liv, you really need to take a break."
"Elliot, I told you, I don't have time to take a break! Dylan won't go near you unless it's completely necessary, someone has to stay home with the kids, which has to be you since I work full time and all you do is dress up part time to catch perps, so if you could not tell me to take a break, that would be fantastic!"
"Baby, calm down." Elliot starts massaging her shoulders. "You're exhausted. You need a break, honey, Fin can take over for a little while."
"I can't! It's like the more distracted I am with work, I forget a little bit. I forget that she got..I forget and sometimes that's nice, but I feel so bad about it, El. I feel so horrible for wanting to forget."
"This is hard on all of us. It hurts all of us."
"Not to mention that we're lying to Eli and Aiden. She doesn't want them to know, but dammit, Elliot, i'm so tired of the secrets and the lies and I don't know how much more i'll be able to take!" Olivia rants, taking in a deep breath and slowly letting it out. "On top of that, I just want to have sex wih you all the time! How horrible is that? Our daughter gets raped and all I can think about is having sex with my husband."
"It's okay.." he whispers, kissing her neck and shoulder. "People cope in different ways, you know that better than anyone."
Dylan woke up and snuggled up to Olivia's side. She's in the middle of them, since Dylan is still skittish around men, or anyone. "Momma?"
Olivia moved Dylan's hair out of her face as she leaned into Elliot's side. "Yes, baby?"
"My..I had a dream.."
"You wanna talk about it?"
"I.." she looks up at Elliot. "..I don't want you to be mad at me.."
"Baby girl, we won't be mad." Elliot assures her.
Dylan looks to Olivia for approval, getting a nod in return. "Mom, he..it felt good.." she cries.
"Okay." Olivia rubs her back. "It's okay, sweetie. Sometimes, our bodies do things we don't want them to do and it's not our fault, okay? It-it happened to me to.." Olivia said, cautiously looking at Elliot, hoping he wouldn't be upset for mentioning it, which he wasn't.
"And daddy wasn't mad?"
"Never," Elliot tells her. "I could never be mad for something that wasn't her fault, or yours, honey."
"I'm so sorry, daddy!" She leaned over Olivia to hug him. It's the most affection she's shown towards anyone of the opposite sex since she was raped.
"I'm always here for you. I love you so much, Dyl-pickle."
Dylan laughed at that. He gave her that nickname as a toddler. "I love you, too, dad."
*******
Elliot woke up to the sound of Olivia crying and Dylan wasn't in the bed. "Liv? Whats' wrong? Where's Dylan?"
"In her own bed.."
"Okay, so what's wrong, honey?" Elliot pulled her into him and snuggled with her. "Baby, you're cold."
