Chapter 3

Pheonix

Evan and Cassidy held my hands tightly as we sat beside each other in the van. God knows where these morons are taking us, but I just hope that if they have to kill anyone, it's me. I couldn't be able to survive if they take the lives of Evan or Cassidy. Evan rested his head on my chest as he sobbed softly. "It's okay, baby," I whispered as I kissed the top of his head. He didn't say anything. He just continued to cry his eyes out.

Cassidy had her head on my shoulder, saying nothing for a long time. The gang that kidnapped us wasn't anything either. Two of them were smoking pot while two others smoked cigarettes. The only one that wasn't doing any of that crap, to my amazement, was that Bieber douchebag. He had the window open, letting in some fresh air.

He would occasionally glance at me through the rearview mirror, but I would just scowl back, causing him to roll his eyes.

"Yo, Justin, how long is that drive back to the headquarters?" One of the dudes-- I think his name is Riley, but I'm not sure-- broke the silence.

"Half an hour," Justin replied blankly, staring at the road ahead of us.

Headquarters? Holy crap, these people really were kidnapping us! Des is going to have a heart attack if she finds out. Cassidy stopped breathing, freezing beside me. Evan started crying a little louder.

"Hey, kid, shut the hell up," One of the guys groaned.

"Don't speak to him like that, asshole," I spat.

He turned around, glaring at me. "You think you're bad don't you?"

I sat up straighter, scooting closer to him, our faces in close proximity. "Why don't we pull over and find out?" I challenged as I raised an eyebrow. He froze there, staring at me in amazement. "Yeah, smart boy."

"Are you done, drama queen?" Justin rolled his eyes as he ran a hand through his hair, then licking his lips.

Cassidy squeezed my hand, issuing for me to calm down. I sat back, resting my head against the seat, staring at the top of the car. Evan had fallen asleep by now, but he would occasionally jump, as if he was frightened. I kissed his forehead and just stared out the window.

"So, you," One of the guys cocked his head towards me. "What's your name?"

"You don't need to know," I muttered, not glancing in that direction.

He chuckled softly. "Well, you're going to be staying with us for a while, so you might as well tell us before we have to force it out of you, and that's something that you may not want to be experiencing."

"Tell me your name first," I bargained, narrowing my eyes.

"Okay, I'm Moose. Your turn," He hissed.

"Pheonix."

He raised an eyebrow. "That doesn't sound like a girl name."

"Well, your name doesn't sound like a name at all."

"Hm... Touché." He squinted his eyes before turning around and continuing to do what he was doing before.

"Well, Pheonix, I'm Caleb, probably the hottest guy you'll ever meet," One of the guys spun around to wink at me. I almost gagged. I mean, he is good-looking, but he's cocky as hell.

"Good to know," I shrugged.

"I'm Riley," The guy that had asked Justin about the headquarters spoke next, confirming the fact that I had been right about his name. He continued to smoke.
