Oops, I Like You-

Arabella's pov

"Elliot, what did you get for question number four?" I asked. It was mid October, the ground was beginning to turn from dark green to white. The snow was arriving. Right now, Elliot and I were in the Slytherin common room, much to the dismay of the Slytherins, sprawled out on the floor finishing up homework.

"Umm.. You can find Red Caps in places where blood has been shed." He replied, scanning over his parchment.

"I thought you found them in water?" I questioned. Elliot smirked at me.

"Silly Bella, you are talking about Kappas." He replied smartly. "You always get those two mixed up."

"I honestly don't know why I get those two mixed up, they look completely different!" I sighed. "How do you tell them apart?"

"Red Caps are found where blood has been shed. Blood is red, like the name Red Caps." He replied. This boy was just so smart it was unfair. I let out a groan and buried myself in the book about Magical creatures. "Come on, let's go to dinner, you can finish this later." I nodded and packed all my things in my bag. I noticed a stray piece of parchment sticking out from underneath the couch. Elliot seemed to have ignored it so I picked it up and stuffed it in my robe. I'll read it later.

"Come on, let's go." He said. We walked to the Great Hall and departed to our house tables.

"Bella, where have you been?" Alice asked me.

"I was with Elliot finishing up Defense Against the Dark Arts homework. " I replied, starting to shovel food on my plate.

"Oh, well will you be going to  Hogsmeade with him?" She asked, pushing her blonde hair behind her ear. She was trying hard not to smirk.

"Maybe I will or maybe I won't." I laughed. She giggled. "When is there a Hogsmeade trip anyway? I don't remember the teachers scheduling a date."

"It's this weekend!" Emmeline said as she sat down in front of me. "The notice went up this morning in the common room. Didn't you see?" She asked. I laughed and shook my head 'no'.

"Emmy, I barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning!" We all laughed as we ate dinner, and then eventually dessert. Once our tummies were full of delicious food, we made our way to the common room.

"Oh Bella! Did I forget to tell you that Pierre asked me to go to Hogsmeade with him? I can't believe it!" Emmy squealed. Both Alice and my draw dropped.

"Did he really?!" Alice squealed.

"How romantic!" I teased. Emmy blushed furiously. "Oh my gosh. You are totally crushing on him!" Her blush revealed it all. "I was right! I can't believe it! When were you going to spill?"

"I don't know! I was just hoping that this trip will take us somewhere other than being just friends." She said.

"Hun, you are fourteen, do you expect a fairy tale relationship?" I asked. She shrugged.

"Well what about you an Elliot, huh?" She snapped. "We all know you like him."

"Ok I admit, I like him. I really do." I blurted. Their jaws dropped before smiles appeared on their faces. "But I promised myself I wouldn't date anyone until Fifth year." They looked at me puzzled.

"Why Fifth year?" Alice asked, as we stepped through the portrait of the Fat Lady.

"Well it's when my dad and mum started dating.  And I thought it was cute, the way they met and started dating. Plus I want to be just like my mum." I replied as we ascended the staircase to our dormitory.
