Today was some obnoxiously hot summer day. Everyone was sweaty and exhausted, yet glad that the sun was setting so that they could all eat together and go to sleep. R.J. and I had been helping construct more rooms to accommodate families, not just a single person. Empty bottles and cans littered the ground, which I made a mental note to clean up later. A loud bell rang, alerting us that the day was now officially over and food was being served.

"I heard there's Radscorpion omelettes for dinner with lukewarm beer tonight." MacCready chimed as he grabbed my hand and walked towards the center of Sanctuary quickly. We've been recently attacked by a group calling themselves something like The Pillars Of The Community or whatnot. Apparently lover-boy has heard of them before. And stealing was not part of their usual activities. But I guess food is getting scarce where they are set up. Pushing that matter aside, I grabbed two plates for MacCready and I and went to go sit next to him. He opened our beers and took a swig of his, pulling a face at the temperature. Chuckling, I grabbed his bottle and drank a bit from it, earning a quiet sarcastic gasp and a smack on my thigh. A bit too high up.

"You suggesting something Robert?" I wiggled my eyebrows at him as his face flushed.

"I told you not to call me that." He cringed. The look on his face was adorable. This is the man that held my heart, this handsome man I could call mine. And with the sunset shining on his face, it made it even more difficult for me to not kiss him right here and now, food in our mouthes and all.

"Save it for the bedroom." Cait laughed as she took another swig of her beer before attempting to flirt with Deacon. We laughed along and ate our food before saying good night to each other. I watched as all the settlers made it safely to their rooms, before facing the love of my life.

"Are you up for some swimming?" I grinned and slowly unbuttoned his shirt. He blushed again ever so slightly before smirking and running off.

"LAST ONE THERE HAS TO DO WHATEVER THE OTHER ONE WANTS!" He shouted. I made a loud 'shh' noise before laughing and running after him. When I got there, he pulled down his boxer-briefs teasingly and ran into the water. He pulled his tongue out at me as I got undressed and joined him.

"Oh, looks like you lost." He said in a false sad tone.

"What does my little fox want then." I chimed. We had pet names for each other, he was sly like a fox and I was usually lazy like a cat. He smiled at me and wrapped his arms around my neck, pulling me closer and I snaked my arms around his waist.

"Kiss me." He whispered seductively. I couldn't resist him. Curse him and his beautiful face.

"You didn't even have to ask." I replied jokingly. And with that I pressed my lips against his, moving them slowly at first. I licked his lip as if to ask for permission, before our tongues danced together. He gripped my hair and kissed me with even more force. I laughed at how needy he was. That was until he moved his hand up and down my chest, making me moan as his fingers lightly grazed over my nipples. We pulled away from each other for air and rested our foreheads together.

"I love you Robert Joseph MacCready." I sighed happily.

"Oh my god shut up, I love you too butt head. Now let's go inside, my legs are starting to look like a very weird ghoul." He joked. I quickly pecked his lips and we walked back towards our house together, hand in hand.
