Chapter 11 || Into The Dark Side

Anakin rushed over to the Chancellor's office. I hope the Chancellor can help me... He thought, still very worried about Padmé. He didn't want Padmé to die, like she did in his nightmare. And she was already pregnant, so her fate could have ended up like his nightmare!

He was so worried, he didn't even notice the Chancellor in front of him!

“Excuse me, Anakin. Are you alright?” Chancellor Palpatine asked with an unpleasant tone.

“Oh, sorry, Chancellor. Err.. I was..”

“You were worried about Senator Amidala?”

“How did you know?”

“I sensed it.”

“You can use the Force?”

“Of course I can.”

“How did you know how to use the Force?”

“My master taught me.”

“Who is your master?”

"His name is Darth Plagueis. Have you ever heard of the tale, Darth Plagueis, the Wise?"

"Nope."

"Of course the Jedi won't tell you, it's a Sith legend."

"Can you tell me the tale?"

"Of course. Darth Plagueis was the Dark Lord of the Sith. He was so powerful, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create... life. He could also stop his loved ones from... dying."

"Woah... Could I learn this power?"

Chancellor Palpatine gave Anakin a devillish smile. "Not from a Jedi..."

Before Anakin could reply, Senator Bail Organa rushed into the office.

"Knight Skywalker, Senator Amidala's in labor at medbay."

"Oh," Anakin replied to Bail. "I'll be there shortly."

Anakin then turned to the Chancellor. "I'll see you again next time.” Anakin said, ending the conversation here.

Chancellor Palpatine smiled devillishly again. "Yes, yes. Next time..."

And off Anakin went in his speeder to medbay.

Padmé, please be alright... And why was the Chancellor smiling so weirdly just now? Only a Sith would smile like that. Wait, how did he know the Sith legend? Could it be? No it can't be...

He is a Sith...

I know that I took the Darth Plagueis part from other writers, but hey, I've got to make Chancellor Palpatine sound a bit suspiciously evil. Of course I also made Anakin almost 'blind' to notice that.
