Chapter Five: Dreaming Gets You Somewhere

Hokage’s point of view:

“Iruka, I’ll have to put you in charge of training and observing these two girls very closely. We don’t know about their background or profile other than their supposed name and age.” I finished my explanation as I handed a very short portfolio of the two ominous girl’s to Iruka.

Iruka flipped past the pictures and read my personalised observations of their habits and personality, “Do you think they are attempting to infiltrate the Leaf Village, Hokage?”

“I’m not quite sure.” I continued to inhale the smoke through my pipe, “But there is a strange chakra emitting from them. It’s very strange, Iruka, very strange, indeed.”

Alice’s (Danae) point of view:

An unrecognisable character from the anime series guided us through the village to an apartment Miki and I will be sharing from now on. On the way the man had pointed out multiple places and landmarks along the way. Places such as the memorial stone, food shops, and the Hyuuga clan’s, as well as the blocked off Uchiha clan’s, establishment. It was a pointless; I can’t remember how to get to the school even though he showed us as soon as we left the Hokage’s office.

The unknown man bowed slightly to be polite as he handed Miki the keys and left. Makes sense to as Miki looked older than twelve, maybe even fifteen once again when I look close enough, while I could pass as an eight year old. I’ll stick to pretending to be twelve; I want to have a little bit of training before becoming a ninja. Not. A. Dam. Lifetime’s. Worth.

Miki unlocked the door with the single silver key and walked in. Though I followed her inside the only thoughts that went through my head is how entertaining it would be to add key chains and keys to it. Seriously, who wants to carry and look for one, single, boring key when it goes missing? Certainly not me, besides, I like the jingling sounds!

As I looked around the room Miki had already turn right, behind a door, into the kitchen. She loves to back sweets and cakes. It’s her hobby to eat food – that’s why she is bothered to wait hours in front of a boiling stove during the middle of summer. And that’s why I’m friends with that idiot and sit in front of that oven for hours, too. It’s all for the cakes, chocolate cakes to be exact.

“If you’re going into the kitchen start making some food! I haven’t eaten in days.” I cried whilst holding my stomach that refused to stop yelling at me. God damnit, stomach, just be obedient!

Obito made a little remark to ‘man up’ before leaping off of my crazed hair to the balcony that resided across the lounge room, on the other side of the room. I wonder if he’d be like a cat and land on his feet when fell off of it. I could always just push him off of the wooden rails, it’s not that high. But he’d probably end up as a red and chestnut fur ball at the bottom. Now that I think about it, it wouldn’t be such a good idea. He’d haunt me afterwards. And I’d miss his little cute sassy-ness and stupid screams. Better not then.

Goddammit, brain and its sick thoughts, I blame the lack of sleep – it needs its beauty sleep!

The noises in the kitchen became obvious as Miki decided to begin baking. She was ingenious when it came to making cakes adlib. Although what followed the sounds of a metal bowl being rummaged around turned to a handful of swears and an avalanche of metallic sounds. I peeked past the door and into the kitchen to see what was happening. For some odd reason there was a heavy pile of silver objects on top of her. I’m not sure how it’d be difficult to escape from, but maybe there was a boulder hidden underneath it.
