It was time for Sakura and Kaito to have their second break. For their second break, they had to go to the auditorium for the "couple competition" they entered.
"Sakura, are you ready?" Kaito said, leaning against the changing room's door. Sakura didn't feel comfortable wearing a maid dress for the competition so she decided to change back to her school uniform.
The competition consists of 3 trials. The first one is a hunt. The couple would need to go through a series of puzzles together. 2nd would be a "modeling"session. The couple would be dressed up with matching costumes and be judged by the judges. 3rd, they will tell each other how much they love them.
"Welcome to the couple's competition. The rules are simple, don't hurt anyone and you'll be fine. Don't ask for anyone's help. Good luck!"
Sakura and Kaito went on stage. She was nervous, she looked around and then looked down at the floor. Kaito looked at her and ruffled her hair, "Don't worry. You'll do fine."
Sakura looked up and nodded, feeling a bit relaxed around him.
"Everyone will be handed a card of riddles. It will lead you to a place and there you'll need to go through a puzzle."
"3."
"2."
"1.""Go"
Kaito and Sakura looked at the first riddle.
"Where the students fight to survive"
"Where the students...fight? What does that mean?" Using her last remaining brain cells to solve this one riddle out of who knows how many, she still had no clue as to what the answer might be. She glanced at Kaito and to her surprise, he seemed quite calm about the riddle.
"This one is easy. The cafeteria! Students always fight here in order to get their meals. You know, when they're hangry?" He grabbed Sakura's hand and began running to the cafeteria to find the next riddle.
Sakura was dumbfounded by Kaito's intelligence but after knowing the answer, she realized that maybe she was lacking some sleep, "How did I not think of that?"
As they quickly made their way to the cafeteria, they split up to find a small piece of paper in such a gigantic room. It didn't help that there were actually a lot of students in the cafeteria trying to fill their empty stomachs. Frustrated, Sakura mumbled. "Why are there so many students in the cafeteria when they could be outside buying food from the stands!"
Aside from her frustration, she continued to look for the small piece of paper. Looking at every spot and bumping into literally everyone, she finally found it!
Quickly running back to Kaito, she handed him the piece of paper.
Standing proudly, she says, "See? I may be a bit slow but at least I can find a small piece of paper in such a large area!" She looked at Kaito with such sparkling eyes, as if telling him to praise her.
Kaito chuckled and patted her head, "Good job! Now we're one step closer to becoming the grand prize winners."
He unfolded the paper and revealed black letters forming the sentence,
"LOLOLOL try again! You were close though, but this time, find the actual riddle!"
Sakura and Kaito looked at each other and sighed in frustration, throwing away the piece of paper in the trash.
Hi guys :)
Sorry for not updating in years. I unpublished this and republished it without realizing that it would send notifications to everyone. I felt bad basically baiting the readers so here's chapter 10 that I started literal years ago.
I appreciate all the comments you guys left on my story that I started like 5 years ago but I'm sad to say that I will no longer be updating (if you couldn't tell already) so I'm sorry :((
Well this is basically the last chapter I'll ever upload. Just imagine Sakura and Kaito marrying each other and having a son and a daughter.
They lived happily ever after. The end :))
