Drag me down,
bring me to hell.
Let me see the face
of what I must become.
The pressure is rising,
the air is pounding.
Dig my way out,
to be pulled back again.
Lie.
Cheat.
Steal.
...and me.
Follow the path,
and become what I fear,
or stake my own heart,
leave my sanity behind.
It's all that's part of me.
They see me for nothing more.
The one who does right,
the one holding the bearing light.
Oh shine the light once,
and you'll see what the shadows are hiding.
You'd be surprised
what secrets perfection can hold.
Every scream has a will.
Every fear has a home.
But depth exists not,
when it's you in the light.
Masks can do wonders.
Confide or confuse.
Let them slowly kill you like me,
or let you see the me that you want me to be.
Who knew perfection
was my easier way of suicide.
