Emma's POV
As I laid in bed, wondering how I was supposed to get up and face the day after my third failed attempt at rescuing him, I felt my heart break.
It really was over. I had to accept that. I laid there, weeping, letting the memories run through my head. I didn't wanted to lose him. I wasn't ready for another heartbreak. In my mind, I saw us talking as we climbed the beanstalk, my fear when I thought the giant had squashed him. I saw him and me, talking in Granny's, the magic bean in his hand. Us in Neverland, him saving my father, our first kiss.
I felt a new wave of sobs threatening to rack my body again, and yet I still tried to recall every detail of that day, every single feeling I had had.
Then it was him, saving me, coming back for me in New York, when everyone else had given up on me. He had found a way. And then we were back in the Enchanted Forest, talking about Marty McFly. Dancing at the ball. I remembered the way that his real hand had felt on my back, holding me, making me feel, for the first time in my life, safe.
And then I remembered something. Killian's voice, as clear as if he was talking to me on the phone, or better yet, that we were back in the park, and he was trying to win me over.
"If it can be broken, that means it still works..."
Yes, that was the answer. That was the answer on how to get Killian back.
One word was still bouncing around my brain when I was speeding through town. Broken.
A/N
Hey guys, so I have a REALLY good idea for this story, but like most of my stories, I just needed to set it up, so this chapter is especially short! Not to worry, my other chapters will be at least 1,000 words! Please vote, comment, etc, and yeah! Have a great life!
