Watching the Stars With Me

Chapter 1

Hello.

My name is Rosabella Hayes, but most people keep it simple and call me Rose. Well actually most people don't even know I exist, so they don't even call me my name. Usually I'm called ugly or other means names that can conjure up that day.

Today was the first day of school. It was my junior year at Mayfield High. My best friend, Virginia Lola, has been by my side since the day I saw her brilliant blue eyes. Here we are again. My eyes peer up at the high school sign with my back pack sling over my shoulder. I sigh pushing open the doors. Nobody even dares to make eye contact with me. Everyone keeps their eyes down cast. Dammit. Its the same as always. I still don't exist in their eyes.

All I want is for a simple hello to reach my ears from an unknown figure, but I still don't get that wish even after all those nights. Wishing was for something different in life. I wish I never existed and I bet other people at this school wished this, too.

I feel very excited fingers push onto my shoulder trying to gain my attention. My gray eyes land on the blue ones. Virginia.

"Did you hear about the new fellow?" Her cheerful voice rings out leaning against the locker in a stylish way.

"Nope."

I sigh flipping my dirty blonde hair over my shoulder while messing with my bracelet. Virginia begins her rant of the day forcing me to sigh.

"So I hear that he is from California and it totally hot. He also apparently has the appearance of Zac Afron. Everybody at school is freaking out and the girls want to jump his bones. Oh and he is Damian Luke's cousin, so we know he is going to be a total looker." She ends with a sigh with that look of love twisted in her ocean eyes.

"Mm okay." I answer dumbly wanting to get out of this conversation. I don't even really know who this Damian guy. The only thing I know is that every girl in this school has been with him that way. Well except for me and a couple of other people. I pretty sure even Virginia has had the chance to be with him. For all I know she could have been with a couple of guys.

"Oh and the latest news other then this new guy is that Damian is back with Jasmine." She finally shuts her mouth with a pop noise leaving me in my thoughts. Jasmine and I were very close at a younger age. She was my next door neighbor until last year when her parents ran off to the carribean islands leaving their daughter with her aunts. She was also one of the most gorgeous girl your eyes would ever land on. She has everything a guy would want. Big breats. A perfect body with no fat anywhere except where it needed to be.

Her hair was always perfectly straight jet black and her skin was tan with no marks on it. Her teeth were as white as pearls.

"What's your first hour?" Virginia suddenly questions bringing me out of my thoughts with a smile.

I pull out my schedule and I give it to her not wanting to list off all the classes I took this year.

"Yes." She squeals pointing to lunch and third hour. "We have two classes together. Oh and you have Lorlee in your first two classes which is not fair considering I have no classes with her."

The bell rings out in the hallways making everyone scatter in a bunch of different directions. "Well that's my cue." I tell her.

I was pretty happy the bell rang. In the morning, Virginia is not the easiest person to talk to. She drinks about two cups of coffee before coming and puts about a million scoops of sugar in it making it very highly unhealthy for you. My legs were moving fast trying to get there before the belk rang again. Indicating that you're late for class.

I run fast first into no other then Damian Luker. I walk around him not wanting to start to conversation that would lead to insults in the end.

"Hey watch where you're going." A raged voice calls over his shoulder forcing me to peep out a 'sorry'. I make it just in time gaining a bunch of eyes as I stroll into class as soon as the bell rings. My eyes peer across the class landing in Lorlee York.
