He had loved her for years. Her long black hair, blue eyes, short stature and most of all her smile. She also had a personality like no other. Serenity was sweet and kind hearted.
She always hung out at the park on the weekends. This was where he was to win her heart. In his hands was a stuffed animal of a fox.
Being Valentines Day she was surrounded. The closest he could get to her was two feet because of the crowd. One boy glanced at him.
"Wow. Just a fox? Loser." He criticized. His words hurt.
The words created a wound that throbbed in aching pain. Marcus walked away, fox in hand.
He sat on a bench alone. All he could do was stare at the fox thinking, 'She couldn't love a suicidal idiot..'
After awhile the crowed subsided and she was left with a mound of gifts. She looked around and quickly found Marcus. The loving instincts kicked in and she walked over to him.
"What's wrong?" She asked sweetly.
"Well.. Its nothing." Be dismissed.
"Did your Valentine reject you? That's nothing to worry about." She said sitting beside him.
"My crush didn't reject me- yet. I wanted to ask you but.. You probably don't want me. I'm just better off dead.." He closed his eyes sighing.
Her heart throbbed because she also felt for him. Deeper than anyone else. In a desperate plea to keep him happy she hugged him tightly.
"Don't say that! I care for you!" She yelped.
He was taken aback on her. He began crying softly into her chest, seeing as that's where is head was at the moment. She lovingly 'shushed' him.
Now they both knew they loved each other. He hoped for this; she dreamed for it. After he brought his tears to a halt he rested his chin in the middle of her shoulder.
"So this was for me?" She questioned. He gave a 'mhm'. She let her lips curl into a smile.
"I also wanted to ask you out. Now that I have to chance.. Will you go out with me, Serenity?" He asked glancing around seeing people with faces of amazement.
She brought his head off her shoulder and cupped his face with her hands. Serenity kissed him passionately for a brief moment.
"That's my answer." She stated. He smirked giving her an unexpected peck on the lips.
"I love you," he whispered to her. She was going to say 'I love you too' but he cut her off with a passionate kiss.
