I think everyone wishes that time would just freeze,
But if everything froze, nothing would ever start.
A chapter must end for a new one to begin,
A chapter that may be all the better.
And though you're reluctant to grow up,
You're already there.
Taking that leap in unison,
We jump out into the world as one,
And then we are all separate.
What was once a story of many,
Is now a story of one,
Because people left and people came,
And the world has certainly changed.
But that's no reason to be afraid.
Take my hand and I'll comfort you,
And maybe we'll make it through this life,
And finish our greatest adventure.
