“How long will it take to get to our new house Dad?” I asked as I climbed into the passenger seat of my dads car.

“Only about an hour Cole, don’t worry.” He responded tiredly as he started the engine.

I nodded and leaned my head back on the headrest, wondering what my new school would be like. I hoped it wouldn’t be anything like my last school, where it was all about how you dressed, did your hair, and if you were ‘cool enough’ to hang with the so-called preps. I rolled my eyes as I thought about their immature cliques. They always used to make fun of me and my friends, calling us emo and that all the guys were gay and all the girls were lesbian. That was especially stupid, because most of the guys had girlfriends and most of the girls had boyfriends. I don’t see why they thought they were so much better then us.

Was it because they had designer clothes? Well I coulf buy all thouse if I wamted them. Was it how we acted? No, they never took the time to get to know us and  if they did, im sure theyd actually like being with us, my old friends could be so funny and interesting. They were just stupid and judgmental for absolutely no reason, just because their livees were so fucking great, that made them better then us? I think not, I think that it should make us better because we’re tougher. I sighed angrily and pulled my headphones out of my bag along with my phone, turning on my all time low play list, Remembering Sunday came on and I started to fall asleep.

Awhile later I felt a soft nudge on my shoulder, I lifted my head up, opening my eyes. I saw that my dad had parked in the driveway of our new house, and he was starting to get out of the car. I looked around the estate with raised eyebrows; it was huge!

The driveway where our car was parked turned out to be a private drive that’s small entryway was right by the front gate, with a fairly tall wall of green bushes blocking it from the main drive way; which went all the way to our garage. There was a sidewalk attached to the drive way that lead to our front door and around a large circle of grass that had a huge fountain in the middle of it. There was even a white stone fence that went around the whole yard except for the driveway.

The actual house was even more impressive; it was three stories high and it was a light blue color, the roof was a dark gray. In the front on the third floor, there was a balcony, which my dad probably picked the room that has that balcony. In the back there was another balcony, I hope I get that room though, I like the ocean view.

I grabbed my black messenger bag and jogged into the open garage. I opened the door in the garage and found myself in a little hallway, leading to the living room. I looked to my left and saw the entranceway from the front door and straight ahead was a couple of steps down that lead to the kitchen, which was lower then the hallway and the living room. The floor was all dark hardwood, except the kitchen which from the steps down, was white tile. There were a couple of doors that seemed to lead to smaller rooms, but I didn’t feel like exploring just yet. Everything was completely empty, since Dad decided that instead of moving the furniture from our old house here , we should just leave our old house as it is and get all new furniture.

I reminded myself that later I need to explore the whole house and started walking up the winding staircase in the back corner of the living room. The steps were the same hardwood as the living room floor, and the rails were white metal. It wound up to the second floor, which had white carpet and lots of doors and windows. There were obviously a lot of extra rooms in this house.

Dad walked out of one room and saw me looking at him questioningly, “ Hey Cole, you can pick which room you want, except for the one I just came out of, that’s my room.”

I nodded, “ Okay Dad, I’ll probably choose one of the balcony rooms upstairs.”

I turned around and headed towards the stairs.

‘Oh, Cole, the upstairs is kinda your space I decided, so you can do what you want with it once we go furniture shopping.” My Dad said as I walked up the stairs.

The stairs finally stopped and the first thing I noticed about the third floor was that is was pretty much one room, no hallway or anything. It was abit smaller then the first and second floor but it had really high ceiling while the two other floors didn’t. The floor was a light brown hardwood and the wall opposite of me was curved and almost completely made of glass; I decided to use this as my room. There was a door to the right of me, which I found out, it was the bathroom, it was a medium sized bathroom that was kinda black and white themed, white floors, white walls, black vanity, sink, shower and toilet. Next to the bathroom was a walk-in closet that in the far back of the closet was yet another door. I walked into the closet, and opened the door, I looked into the room, it was a bit smaller then the bedroom and had doors that lead to the balcony, I bet I could make some use out of this room. I walked back into my bedroom, across from the bathroom and closet were two French door, I looked through the doors and saw a balcony, I stepped out on the balcony and looked around. This must be the back balcony.

I smiled to myself looking around my room, it was perfect, big room, big bathroom, walk-in closet and a extra room, I havent looked around the rest of the house but I already love it. I sat on the floor of my room, staring at the beach where the sun was starting to set. Maybe tomorrow I should go to the beach and meet some new people who might be going to my school, which started in 3 days. Im glad Dad decided to move during the summer, so atleast I will be there on the first day of school and not be the only new kid like I am every year because I move right in the middle of the school year. I moved my messenger bag so I could lay my head on it and stretched out on the floor, it wasn’t very comfortable but I didn’t really think about it as I drifted off into sleep.

the picture is LedaMonsterBunny, but thats what Cole is supposed to look like face and hair wise
