Save Me

Chapter One

  I woke up and turn off my alarm, another wonderful day at school yay! (note my sarcasm). I get in the shower and start to get ready, I go to Water Borough High(weird name right?). I hate that school....and just school in general, this is my junior year and I just want to get this over with. As I grab my bag and phone to get ready to leave I hear my dad's footsteps coming up the stairs...oh no. I run towards my door and lock it, as I back away I see the doorknob start to jiggle "Open the door Alexis". Even though he cant see me I shake my head then whimper shakily "...no". I jump when he starts banging on the door " OPEN Bang! THE Bang! DOOR! Bang!" . I shove the rest of my stuff into school and run over to my window. I shove it open as wide as it can go and climb onto the tree outside, as i make my way down the tree I hear my room door burst open and my dads heavy steps storm inside. I look up and see my dad glaring down at me from my window, he doesnt say anything because I already know ill be in trouble when I get home. I run down the street towards my school, dammit i already know im late. I pull out my phone and check the time 7:35 ten minutes to make it before the bell. I slow down when I see the school in my sight 'late on the first day, good job Alexis'. 

 I sigh and walk into the school and up to the front desk, a lady who looked to be in her 60's was sat down at the computer.....playing solitaire. "Excuse me" I look down at the nameplate " Mrs. Dingle" I said holding back a laugh "I need my schedule". She rolled her eyes then rolled her chair towards a stack of papers "Name" she grumbled "Alexis Morrison". she shuffles through the papers and hands me mine "Locker number and combo are on the back, class schedule on the front have a nice day" she said in a monotone voice. "Thanks" I mumble as I walk away, I quickly find my locker and open it....or at least try to. 34, 24, 17, nothing "Son of a b!tch!!" I grumble and kick the locker then hear a giggle from behind me. 

I turn around and see a girl leaning against the other lockers looking at me. "Need help?" I nod and put the slip of paper into her waiting hand, she turns the dial and 'click'  "There you go" she says and hands the slip back to me "Thanks" I say quietly while playing with the sleeve of my hoodie. " Im Samantha, but I prefer Sam" "Alexis" I say. "Well then, see you around Lexi!" she says with a smile then walks away, I put my stuff inside the locker then close it just as the first period bell rings. I look at my schedule room 205... World History, greeeeat. 

I quickly(or so i thought) jogged to my class and walked in. As usual everyones heads turned towards the door to see the late comer. "Excuse me!" the teacher says and I glance up at him " Would you like to tell me why youre 20 minutes late for my class....on the first day?" I look down at my shoes "im sorry sir I couldnt get my locker open, then I couldnt find the room" I blurt out speedily. He blinks a couple times trying to understand whatever I just said " Whatever just go find a seat". I nod and walk towards the back of the class, before I get to my seat I trip over something but catch myself. The class erupts into laughter, I quickly get to my seat and sit down feeling my face get hotter and hotter as I go. I calm myself down and relax, I've always liked sitting at the back of the class, that way I can see if anyones looking at me. I start taking down the notes on the board in my notebook when I feel a familiar tingling feeling, I look around trying to find the culprit when I see him. He looked like one of those fake high school students from tv, I quickly looked away and silently prayed he'd look away. 20 minutes later  and I finished taking down the notes, but the tingling feeling never went away. I look up and see him playing on his phone I look at him for a few seconds and see him smirk and look at me then winks.I snap my gaze to the desk and feel my cheeks get unbearably hot he freaking winked at me!! I sigh and let my forehead hit the desk this is gonna be a long day .
