AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME: CHAPTER THREE

I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to bring some type of warmth to my body as I walked down the sidewalk. My head was down and a smile was playing at my lips. From a distance, I could still hear the engine running and I could feel a pair of eyes watching my every move. I chuckled as I realized Justin wasn't going to drive off until I made my way past the entrance of my house. Cute. I scrambled as the wind picked up, scratching against my face. I huffed and unlocked the gate manually, not wanting the buzzer to alarm my father; soon to close it back and lock it behind me. My feet jumped across the soft lawn, trying to avoid the driveway. The balls of my feet ached with every move I made, making me yelp. I gulped nervously, hoping that my dad didn't hear me. I panted hard as I ran towards the back yard, making contact with the pathway, the living room lights flickering on as I did so. Justin's car drove off, quickly, the rubber off of the wheels burning and scrambling down the road.

"Ugh!" I groaned, knowing that my dad would now come outside to see who pulled off. Justin was going to get me caught. I picked up my pace and walked up to the deck and grabbed onto the small confinement that plants were wrapped around. I balanced myself and climbed up the roof. Kneeling slightly I stalked towards my window and pushed up my cracked window. I threw my shoes in first, a small thud echoed in response. My aching body dropped itself onto my hardwood floor. I groaned and laid there for a second, trying to catch my breath. I simply huffed. After I realized that my dad could come in any second from now, I jumped to my feet and closed my window, locking it and running over to my closet. Slipping off my clothes and shoes and stuffing my items into the dirty clothes basket that stood in the medium-sized closet. I searched for the lamp that stood on my dresser near my bed and quickly ran into my bathroom and wiped off my makeup with coconut oil soon to take off my jewelry. I soon heard the front door close which made me panic even more. I ran out of the bathroom, turning off the light and going back into my room. I opened up my dresser that stood near my window and the bathroom and pulled open a drawer that held my lounging wear. Grabbing a random pair of pajamas I began to slip them on. After I was done, I jumped into my bed and turned off my lamp; my heart raced as all the events from the night flooded back.

That was close.
